For all those Square fans, Square USA\'s newest work is in a cinema near you.
"Final Flight of the Osiris," Square USA\'s entry in The Animatrix, a series of animated shorts based in the world of The Matrix, premiered in theaters across the US on Friday. It will continue to show in theaters attached to the film Dreamcatcher. The short film was Square USA\'s final production before the studio was shut down due to the poor commercial performance of their feature film, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
The short runs around 7 mintues long. Judging from intial impressions from other boards (DVDtalk, etc) the CG is about two notches about Square\'s previous work, Final Fantasy:TSW. It\'ll be interesting to see.
As for those who have no clue what the AniMatrix is..Check out.

Download the first two episodes for free (around 100 megs each).

I seen it.... it is impressive. Very impressive. Sometimes I had to sqint to see if it was CG or real.

I heard it was 11 minutes and they showed some clips on tv. The chick gets down to her bra & panties.

I saw a commercial for that. It\'s not a bad idea. In fact, its only one out of nine.
