My vote is definitely Suikoden 3. It looks like a freaking PSX games in hi-res and has no lightsourcing whatsoever until you put out some spells in the battle and by that time, the frame drops to like 15fps....or maybe less.
The characters are made up of low polygons and bland texture.
Luckily, the gameplay is not total crap but still falls way short of Suikoden 1 & 2. The ending is especially unsatisfying and I feel the diversion created by the trinity system fails to make any of the charaters really stand out (except maybe Chris).
I notice there\'s a "Criterion" logo displayed at the ending credits. If I\'m not wrong, "Criterion" is some sort of middleware library. That probably explains the sucky graphics.
Compared to other Konami games...MGS2,ZOE,AC and the much anticipated SH3, the graphics in Suikoden 3 really is a disgrace to Konami.

Criterion, I believe, are developers.
You\'re thinking of Criterion\'s Renderware, which is actually quite powerful. Ever see Burnout 2?
And Summoner is the ugliest RPG on the PS2. Come on, you can SEE the buildings being drawn. Although it does have an excuse, it\'s still ugly.

Summoner 2 ain\'t that bad, at least it has higher polygon, more detail texture and some light sourcing. Suikoden 3 looks like a Saturn game at times!!

Shadow Hearts
Although i loved the game, it was by far, one the most crappiest visual games I\'ve played.
That doesn\'t mean i think it was bad btw :)

Doesn\'t matter.
When you can actually see the buildings being drawn in the not so distance, it\'s ugly.

umm..
both summoners were ugly..
nor did i like visuals on kindom hearts or Final Fantasy X.
ffX had some exelent textures and locations, but mostly the lack of mip-mapping and sometimes bad design made it not so good looking game..)

But it sure isn\'t as bad as the flat face of the Suiko 3 characters with no lightsourcing and looks like they\'ve 50 polys for each character. THAT\'S UGLY.
But if u say criterion is responsible for BurnOut2...it\'s either they don\'t know how to use the library or the Suiko 3 developers really sucks prime time. :D

you know, ive thought about this too and there were times where somethings just looked straight up booty. I mean all in all the game looks great, and i dont mean cutscenes. But i would definately have to disagree on design. The architecture etc. was mind blowing. The only parts that were really nasty, were the faded colors on some of the characters and the nasty flat faces that the characters had when they showed cinemas with the character graphics that you actually walk around in. All was forgiven though when i saw how huge some of the things on screen were and how suculantly delicious the spells look :)
