\'Twas a matter of time though. WRX are handlers not dragsters, although the SVT Neons kick ass at the autocross too.
But I still don\'t like the looks of both cars. Luckily, the Impreza STi and Lancer Evo8 and RX-8 will be here soon. The streets will run with blood. :thepimp:
-
lots of dead stupid teens, and high insurance costs
yay!
-
Both cars are ugly and do absolutely nothing for me.
But then again, it\'s just my opinion and that isn\'t worth shit.
-
AWD > RWD > FWD
-
How the hell do these teens afford such modded up cars?
I\'ve been working my ass off (no, not like that) to save up enough cash for an FTO, and they are like a quarter of the price.
-
Rich suburban white kids who don\'t know better.
-
Actually most teens cannot afford the Evo 8 or the upcoming STi, that is unless daddy is looking forward to a closed casket ceremony. The base WRX and the new SRT are cheaper, but even so they are probably out of reach for many middle class kids. The WRX has been out a few years so the used ones are much easier to afford.
-
Your still looking at atleast $US20 000 for a Rex right?
-
24K new..SRt is under 20k.
Its really not that hard. Even if you trade in a beat up car..thats 1000-2000 grand. come with another 2000-7000 down..plus incentives..school deductions..etc..etc...
Not to mention the biggest influence..credit rating. As easy as it is to get a credit card, its just as easy to build up good credit to get said luxuries.

But there is no reason for a kid to have a high powered car. Many drive with no fear and no respect for the road. Kids think it\'s their right to drive.
Wait a second, I\'m starting to sound like a dad.
NEvermind. Carry on.
-
So instead of a high powered one..they buy a slower one and make it fast with their own money.
Same difference. So it really doesnt matter in my eyes.
-
But at least they learn about cars and learn how to drive while trying to go balls out.
I dunno. I just see no reason for a kid to have an expensive car. How can you appreciate when you finally get a nice car?
My first car came from a junk yard. As a matter of fact I drove it for about a year and a half and I can still find it in the junk yard right where I left it. Up on top of a school bus right in the center of the yard. It was a 1972 SAAB. No headliner, screwed up everything. It was a trip. We put posters on the ceiling for a headliner.
-
My dad told me one kid already died going 130 into a tree while in an Evo VIII
-
My first job shooting news I worked over nights. 11pm-7am. I can\'t begin to tell you how many accidents I shot of kids wrapping their cars around trees. I\'ve seen some nasty shit. Nothing like asking a cop to put a tarp over the brain matter so you can get some video that we can air.

my first car wa a 1979 ford grenada 2-door. running on 5 cylinders. bald tires, no brakes. I bought it for $50 and a distortion pedal.
I totalled it in 2 weeks.
