Title: Platinum spree!

Oh my god!

I can\'t believe the great games that are becoming platinum in the (very) near future or are already platinum.To name a few:

-FFX(when has a Final Fantasy game ever become platinum before?)
-Gta 3(my god)
-Pro Evolution soccer
-Silent hill 2(director\'s cut)
-Max Payne
-SSX Tricky
-Tekken 4
-Baldur\'s Gate - Dark Alliance.



If sony makes these great games platinum(especially ffx and gta 3) I can only imagine what they will do in the future!

I\'m pretty sure at least Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII went platinum. Not sure about IX.

It\'s about time with GTA3, it is 18 months old after all. I believe FFVIII and FFIX went platinum on the psone a while ago.

I think GTA3 needs to go platinum, it has been out for awhile and it\'s a great game.

I know for a fact that FF7 was a "greatest hits" title on the psx...I bought it myself.

Yes
Platinum = Pal
Greatest Hits = NTSC

Platinum/Greatest Hits = The same thing....cheap games for all of us:bounce:

I believe that all games become automatically platinum / greatest hits providing...

a) A number of sales has been reached, 500,000 I believe.
b) A certain timeframe from release has passed (maybe a year or something).

I can\'t think of a game which has met this critera and not been platinum.

Final Fantasy Tactics was a greatest hit as well.
