Here is an easy way to mod your car and shave off roughly 3 seconds from your 0-60 time. This car went from 8.6 seconds to 5.8 no lie.

OH, and best thing about this mod is it\'s free and anyone can do it.

lol, omg they stripped the car apart.

Just shows how important the power to weight ratio is.
-
They copied that whole thing from SportCompactCar magazine, where it was published last year. They should have cited the source, oh well. I like it because it reminds you how much difference weight makes. 350Z owners should pay attention.
-
Heh, just shows how much the ricier components just add weight over-shadowing their performance...
19" alloy wheels, Gauges, Big ass stereo+sub, heavy assed fart-pipes, and body skirts.

I have that issue of SCC. It was pretty cool what they did and even cooler to read the hatemail they got when people were worried about the guy who owned that car, lol.
Cored if anyone does that to their Z I\'ll kill em! The car gets in the low 14\'s in stock form.
-
I wasn\'t saying they should tear apart a 350Z. :) OK, well it would be fun, but I\'m not saying they should do that. :D
I just mean that 350Z owners seem caught up in this endless argument that "my car is faster than your car because my car has more torque; isn\'t it obvious?" Well actually no because there\'s such a thing as power-to-weight ratio. They conveniently forget the weight variable. The 350Z can do better than low 14s in stock form. An S2000 can do 13.8 or so stock with a good driver. 350Zs can actually do better so I\'ve heard. Just think how much faster they\'d be if Nissan had put more effort into keeping them light.

The Z has always been moderately sized (and because of this was never the company\'s flagship racer). Nissan seems to prefer sturdiness & practicality over light feet. S2k has a more advanced engine and is lighter, but it isn\'t for everyone. The same goes for the Z but it appeals to more people with more legroom and a better price.
Real Z owners know what their car can do. Even die-hard Nissan heads admit the 300ZX is sloooow, even after many modifications. If you ever run into a Z owner with a big head show him what your Honda can do. :)

I use to have a 300z and I always thought it was slow. I never did any mods to it though. Some times I wish I still had it. I loved that car.

Call me an old fashioned freak but I\'ll take a 71 Boss 429 over all those.
