The government of Saddam Hussein appears to be disintegrating in Baghdad, with US troops expanding their control and looting breaking out in the eastern part of the city

Thank God Bush and Blair have the balls to nut up and get things done.  I mean look at the peopel of Iraq!!!  They look like they haven\'t been able to express themselves their entire lives.  So sad.

This Mr. Clowd is what should make you cry......

How can you not be excited for these people who have been treated like animals for thirty years. Who can blame them for looting, it\'s all their stuff anyway.

I have particularly enjoyed the vids and stories of them looting. I would probably do the same. Even if I happened to be well off, just a way to get mine back from the suffering.

I hope this good feeling they have will live at least a little while.  They are going to have a very tough time ahead of them.

My thoughts exactly. I doubt the happiness will fade much since the biggest and basically the only problem they had is being nuetralized.

I just hope the countries that Iraq owes billions to will be able to hold off in collecting untill they have their health, education, and infrastructure in decent order.

Lets hope that they write off the amount they owe or at least half or reduce it.

Iraqi has and still is a 3rd world country, she need time to rebuild herself.

They should take the oil and divy it up between families, that way at all times, families have a constant income no matter what, communist a little, but to where they would still have to make a living by working.

how about all Families don\'t pay tax ?

i think it very important to note that the Iraqi people are well educated and hard working, all they need is a chance to get back on their feet and the country will be prosperous in no time.

the only reason why its a 3rd world country is due to that B@stard Saddam and his 25 years of bloody rule.

Bingo..thats why I think if done properly, they could be quite properous rather quickly.

If nothing else, Saddam went to great lengths as far as providing education to his ppl. And not just love saddam propaganda either :)

It may be just me, but I think Bush and Blair should get huge recognition for this. Even I was against the war a few months before it started but they stayed with it, now look. We liberated a whole nation and made 100,000+ people lives MUCH MUCH better.

"I\'m 49, but I never lived a single day. Only now will I start living," said Yussuf Abed Kazim, a mosque preacher. A young Iraqi spat on a portrait of Saddam. Men hugged Americans in full combat gear, and women held up babies so soldiers riding on tanks could kiss them.

I must admit, initially I was kinda skeptical, but hearing this guy say this, and whats going down there... Makes you really think... Regardless if we discover chemical weapons or not, we did free these people from Hussein\'s harsh grasp. Feels good.

Hopefully we will find chemical weapons just to shut the French and Germans up along with the people who believed the war wasn\'t just. Yes there were civilian casualties and it is sad, but everyone dies someday, and in time people will forget the dead and learn to live their new hopefully prosperous free life. But like vapor said no chem. weapons we just made a whole nation rejoice in 3 weeks, I can say I\'m proud to be an American this makes up for some of the f*ck ups we\'ve done.

All in all..what does it really mean?

That any country can go invade and goto war with any other country just b/c they feel the ppl of said country should be living another way?

What if some countries decided to gang up on us and attack us b/c they feel our way of life is wrong...

wait, thats what happend on 9/11

Point blank, you just cant invade countries claiming to free ppl, even if you are doing so, just b/c their ideal doesnt meet yours.

I would go to jail in a heartbeat if I came to one of your homes and kicked the door down claiming to be freeing you just b/c our ways of life are different.

There is a big difference between liking someones gov\'t or not and someone ruthlessly torchering his people.

And as far as the French go.  They have never been as worthless as they are today.  God forbid we find WMD (And I think we will) the French will become even more worthless.

I certainly don\'t see a whole lot of people against the war spouting their mouths off today.  I\'m sure they will jump in though is everything doesn\'t go smooth as silk in the transition gov\'t phase.

The French need to make themselves important again, nobody respects them anymore.

That\'s because you\'re not really worth talking to at the moment. The time you start posting without being constantly offensive or sarcastic to people with differing opinions is the time people will talk to you.

At the moment you seem to have a serious thing against freedom of speech.

****ing grow up and deal with it.

Not at all.  I only have problems with the freedom of speech when you put out untruths.  That\'s really it.  Like I said before, I don\'t agree with numerous people that I have not said anything sarcastic to.

The whole we are killing innocent people absolutely drives me insane.  I will be sarcastic as hell to anyone who blasts the US for killing innocent civilians.  We went to HUGE lengths to not kill civilians.

That is virtually the only thing that I have gone off on and been sarcastic about.  And I make no apologies for that.

Did we invade Iraq because they should be living another way or because they shouldn\'t be living that way?

No one is denying the fact that the people are happy and better off now that they have the potential to be on their way to a better life.  Iraq could be a very wealthy and prosperous country.  Very bright people and a lot of resources to fund them.

Hell, even France is happy for Iraq now.

So when does this shit stop?

Not Iraq persay..but in general.

The US would certainly interveen and threaten all parties involved if this went on someone else and we weren\'t the instigators of it for once.
