The first game kicked ass,Ratchet & Clank took the genre further and blew me away but Naughty Dog look set to take back the crown,and quite possibly have Mario and Sonic wetting themselves in fear.
Here are 10 facts about Jak and Daxter 2.

1)Jak now has guns!

2)It takes place in a vast city that\'s 24 times the size of the biggest free-roaming level in the original game.

3)It features over an hour of the best real-time animation you\'ll see in a game.

4)It uses the most powerful game engine ever devised for the genre...any system.

5)As well as the return of Jak,Daxter Samos and Kiera, there\'s a cast of 20 additional new characters.

6)Models for the charcaters have been bossted from 3,000 polygons in the first title to 12,000 polygons. Thats four times more detail!

7)There\'s a second playable character,although Jak still predominates. Hey it is his game, remember?

8)There are 12 new vehicles including a hoverboard. And zoomer bike fans will not be disappointed.

9)Naughty Dog has been able to incoporate the best bits of Ratchet & Clank thanks to it\'s partnership with Insomniac.

10)It\'s not Haven 2,despite what Jaks new green-goateed appearance might suggest.

Although relative, not hard to believe? Want a source: common-knowledge. Look at J&D and Ratchet and Clank.

Naughty Dog won the award in that year for best engineering. Not that surprising really, seeing that they already pushed the bar with their PSX efforts.

yep it\'s from the uk ops2 mag.

I hope this game blows the competition away cause like R&C, J&D set new standards in terms of gameplay and looks, and yeah although platformers are no longer original, the 2 big ps2 platformers had a huge amount of gameplay and played SO well!
I hope,no wait I KNOW this game will blow the competion out of the water, unless of course Shiggsy has something up his sleeve at Nintendo.

weapons.. sounds like its changing, to be more like rachet and clank. instead of being its own game
