Looks like a bunch of model babes are going to run naked 2 days before the running of the bulls in pamplona to protest.  I\'m all for this kind of protest.  Why can\'t they protest some stuff here in Tampa?

:D

This is not the first time a bunch of naked people run through Pamplona\'s streets to protest against this kinda acts.

But the good news is that the nudie hoo-hah will not take place on the same day as the running of the bulls, but on July 3 - two days earlier.

If they run on 3rd July, that\'s 4 days before the starting of the bull races. I wonder why don\'t they run naked in the same race, with the bulls. Perhaps their breasts weights too much.

Anyway, I\'ll have to go and watch this new mode.

OK, so what is up with this event?  Why do people do it?  It looks so retarded.  What\'s the object?  TO touch a bull while running?  Do the bulls get killed when they get into the arena?  Do people pay to run with them or do they just get in the street and run?  How far away do you live from this?

Well, this runnings have a special goal: to bring the bulls to the arena. Bulls are grown up in the countryside, far away from cities. When they arrive to the cities, they use to be "parked" in some small courtyard next to the arena. In this special case of Pamplona, that courtyard is about 1 km away from the arena, so the bull may be driven until there before the starting of the "spectacle", and the easiest and funniest way in a sense in throughout the streets.

I may also say that it\'s absolutely PROHIBITED to touch the bulls while the running. If you do so, you will be fined and even been under arrest. It\'s dangerous to touch \'em, so in order to avoid more risks, it\'s banned.

Yes, of course, the bulls are killed in the arena. I\'m not in favour of this kinda spectacle. I know it\'s ancient as hell, but I don\'t really like it. Indeed, the main goal of the bull fights is to kill the bull, with some "art".

No, you don\'t pay to run. All you need is a good pair of sneakers and good health status to run as "a bull". Pamplona is in the north. However I live in the south... it\'s about 800kms away from here.

If you need more info, simply ask.

SO do they only do bullfights in Pamplona once a year?

Why do they only do this significant run once a year if they have to park 1km away from the stadium?

:) Bullfights are mainly performed in the feast-period of every city, that uses to last about 1 week (1 bullfight per day). However you can also see bullfights along the year, not as important as in feast period nor numerous. Winter is not a proper time due to the stadium\'s sand is wet.

You may take into account that these famous runnings are part of the spectacle. You may be have never known the noun of Pamplona if these running don\'t exists. The arena has his own courtyards, but the tradition says that bulls are located there, in the far one, to perform the run till the arena early in the morning: only spectacle.

Anyway, it doesn\'t mean that if there are more bullfights along the year in Pamplona you will see these runnings. Only from July 7h to 14th.
