Title: The Champion\'s League thread
Post by: Seed_Of_Evil on April 12, 2003, 01:55:16 PM
It\'s strange that any european hasn\'t posted info about the 1/4 of the Champion\'s League. The results of the first match are:

Juventus 1-1 Barça

Inter 1-0 Valencia

R. Madrid 3-1 Manchester

Ajax 0-0 Milan

Real Madrid destroyed the king of England in 20 minutes. What do you expect for the upcoming matches? What\'s your favorite for winning this year? Mine is evident. (BTW, did you see the match Mad-Manchester? What a spectacle!)

I expect Real to beat United again at old trafford, I have always said that I don\'t rate the premiership all that highly, I don\'t believe it is the best league in the world, not even the best in europe...... the best in the UK certainly, but that\'s as far as it goes.

Real Madrid showed Man U for what they are, a second rate team in a third rate division.

According to today\'s newspaper, David Beckham has signed a secret deal with Real Madrid for next season worth £38 million!

That\'s something newspapers have been speaking lately. According to them, Perez wants to buy Beckham, but he plays in the same position of Figo... and people loves him over Beckham. They gave evidence in the match. I really like Beckham, but IMO, Figo is a better player for Real.

I don\'t believe that secret deal or whatever it\'s, but I have something very very clear: If Perez wants a player for the team, there\'s no major force in the world but GOD that avoid the purchase. With another star, this will begin to shine like the sun: Raul, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Casillas, Beckham...

what do you guys think of the achievement AJAX Amsterdam made.
With a budget, not even half of what the others have, they came this far already

Its annoying, Real beat us easily on Wednesday. On saturday, Man Utd beat Newcastle (who are 3rd) and played the best they have for months. Madrid however get thumped by sociadade! If only we\'d of played Real on saturday, could\'ve been a whole different story. I\'m still confident we can overturn Real at Old Trafford, but we\'ll see....

What\'s this? In England thinks that Beckham is already player of Real Madrid and Ferguson says that will buy Raul in 2005? This man is silly or what? Raul said, says, and will say that he will be Real Madrid\'s player till the end of his career. :)

Goodbye Man. United!:p Yesterday was Ronaldo\'s day, he owned them with his hat-trick...even though madrid ended up losing that match.

The game between Real Madrid vs Juventus should be a very good game!

This is how i see it,
Real Madrid vs Juventus (zidane\'s former team)
                      and then
Real Madrid vs Inter Milan (ronaldo\'s former team)  :D

Was it just me, or was Ronaldo carrying excess baggage?

He looked to me like he had piled a few pounds on........If he can play like THAT when he\'s not in the best shape, I shudder to think what he could do when he is in tip-top condition.

Yep, I think Real has now a easy ride to the 10th Cup... let\'s see..

And Cerberus... perhaps Ronaldo has some extra pound... but it\'s also true that in his period of injured knee, he spent hours and hours in the gym, and now, his muscles are more prominent.
