Title: Best Games
Post by: cloud345 on April 12, 2003, 07:26:42 PM: Its been a while since we had thread about the best games in every catagory so im gonna make a few.

Catagories:

Sound- GTA:VC- people usually pick games like FF but I go with GTA:VC, the music may not be made by the creators but it has some great songs on the radio and therefor, I must choose it.

Graphics- Metroid Prime- This game was simply beutiful.

Gameplay- Ratchet and Clank- Easy controls and just fun

Story-FFVII- This had an amazing story IMO.

Fun- GTA:VC- I dont even have to do missions to have fun w/ this game. I can play it for hours straight and still be having fun.

Overall(genres):

RPG-FFVII- Great story, great characters, great graphics, great gameplay, great sound. I just cant find anything wrong with this game.

Action Adventure-MGS- It brought stealthness into video games. A great game.

Fighting- Tekken- it was a great game w/ great characters.

FPS- Metroid Prime- This game was awsome. Great graphics, easy controls and fun to play.

racing- GT3- the most realistic racing game out there and fun to buy and upgrade your cars. Also is has a dodge 3 dodge vipers!

Graphics:Still blown away by Ace Combat 4

Gameplay:ATV,Rainbow studios are no.1,might have picked the second one but it was never released in Australia :(

Story:GTA:VC,I like the idea of running the city.

fun:GTA:VC,what can you say.

Overall:

RPG:I\'d have to say Diablo for PS1,but if I\'m only allowed PS2 games I\'d have to go with BG: DA. (turn based games do nothing for me.)

Action/adventure:GTA:VC

Fighting:MK2 on arcade,on PS2 MK5

FPS:Have to go with Timesplitters 2

Racing:ATV,Rainbow Studio\'s no.1

Post by: Lord Nicon on April 13, 2003, 04:42:29 PM: Ace Combat 4 best graphics??? i think it looked great when your really high (altitude;)) But the terrain wasnt to good when you got to the ground. Kinda like the old ones. not my choice for best graphics

Yeah,I hear what you are sayin\'.But you don\'t need to be that close,Overall still my favourite.How\'s about letting me know your pick for best graphics?I\'m sure I could pick something bad about that to.Nothings perfect :(

Graphics- MGS2.

Gameplay- Timesplitters 2 (it has one of the best MP\'s ever).

Story- Medal of honour: Frontline.

Fun- Burnout 2.

Overall(genres):

RPG- non, i dont really like RPG\'s they bore me to death.

Action Adventure- MGS.

Fighting- VF4, play it at 16:9 ratio and the game looks awesome.

FPS- Medal of honour: Frontline.

Racing- GT3

As much as i love this game, i have to agree with the above statement once you approach the ground its all just one big flat blurry mess, i hope they fix this in Ace combat 5.

lol. I understand. Actually i cant really tell you what i think has the best graphics, but at the time and still today GT3 amazes me. It is the only game i have seen to really touch on realistic graphics. The replays on music mode are just damn good because the filters are crazy and the camera changes with the music. Its a racing sim where i can actually enjoy watching my replays.
