Is online PS2 gaming dead already?

I sure hope not, I was hoping on getting a adapter soon.

How often you guys still play it?

its far from dead. madden league for one is a big thing, midnight club 2 just came out, their making a destrution derby online, automodelista came out for online, tribes is a good online game, atv2 i heard was good, gran turismo 4 could be online which would kick major ass, and Socom has a lot of people playing on it. probably more that i missed but those are the ones off the top of my head. so i dont think u have to worry about it dieing for quite a while.(it hasnt even fully started since companies are still figuring out how to use the adapter to the best of its abilities)

I talked to a Sony Rep a couple of weeks ago. And she was telling me that a lot of online games are going to be coming out. Plus most stores are having problems keeping the adapter in stock...

My Street and TMB still....
although not for the past 3 weeks, my dang basement flooded and am getting new carpet. That\'s where my entertainment room was.. :(

Should be back on in a week or so.

My street is a decent collection of games. Vollyball, Dodgeball, RC Racing, and Lawnmowers all are great fun IMO.

Honestly... I couldn\'t take it anymore. I felt like a piece of bologna that had been dropped on the ground only to be swarmed by fire ants.

It\'s nothing personal to you, but OT in general. I don\'t go to OT anymore at ANY Vgame forums I visit.

I\'m an old fart as you know, and frankly I don\'t get the opinions spewed by the majority of OT posters, I have values that just aren\'t... well.. valued anymore, and I\'m sick of bangin my head against a wall.

Now, I stick to videogame forums. (except for a few places I go where the majority share similar ideals) :)

Man.  I miss your videogame posts.  you should visit more often.  We need to bring the vedeogaming portion back to the site.  OT is cool to me and all.  But Id really like to talk videogames here more often.  Online gaming is getting better and better all the time.  Far from dead.  thats for sure.

Soon Resident Evil will be online, and Final Fantasy XI will be, too. I just wish Tom Clancy would get his ass in gear and release his games on consoles without removing all the good parts. Ex: Ghost Recon, Rogue Spear. The only good game that came from him is Splinter Cell, and he had almost nothing to do with that game. It was just a concept that he agreed to have his name put on so it would sell...

I\'m gonna try to come by more often. Yeah, E3 is soon here, and there will be lots of news.

I HOPE they announce the hard drive, I saw something that said a JUNE release, but I\'m not sure.

FFXI will be sweet I hope. I Beta\'d Everquest and it HAS to be better than that :p

PS2 Online in far from dead, but I think its loosing its 56k crowd. Not that it was big in the 1st place but all the good games are broadband only which is causing all us 56kers to stay away...

and BTW emperor I just love your avatar. The Brak Show is so freakin\' cool. I thought i was the only person that watches that show.

When online becomes available in europe it will be broadband only. That\'s me fuxored then. :(
