Well, maybe not. :p

I like this... heh...
Stiff ride. You don\'t get superb handling with a mushy suspension or tires with tall, wiggly sidewalls. If you live where the roads are smooth, Evo won\'t bother you much. If you live in the real world, it\'ll knock your fillings loose.
* Cranky low-speed behavior. If you live in and near cities, you\'ll loathe the bucking and jerking at stop-and-go speeds.
* Seats. If you\'re young, or fit and flexible, probably no problem. If you\'re typical, you\'ll eventually detest the severe Recaros. And you\'ll curse having to reach halfway to the back seat to find the backrest adjustment knob. Mitsu says buyers agree it\'s a pain, but say they don\'t plan to let others drive so shouldn\'t have to readjust the seat much.
* Noise. Whine is constant. It\'s the engine and transmission at low speed, the turbocharger when going faster and the tires when cruising. At first the race-car rawness will make you feel giddy. That\'ll devolve into annoyance.
* Convenience. You\'ll miss having a fold-down rear seat to expand the trunk\'s cargo area. In Evolution, the panel is solid to keep the car stiffer for tauter steering and cornering.
You will, however, love the rear-window wiper.

It\'s an enthusiast\'s car. Not a grocery getter or look-at-my-Beemer :p

DOesn\'t look like a whole lot to get enthusiastic about. IMO of course.
-
That\'s because you\'re not a car enthusiast, based on your limited knowledge about 4 cylinder cars, turbos and exhaust from your past postings. Although I haven\'t raced competitively in the past 2 years, I still know the fundimentals of making any car a good race car. Luxurious suspensions are not one of them.

That\'s a stupid review by an old guy who\'s probably used to rating "ride smoothness" as one of the most important considerations in a car.
I like this part: "And you\'ll enjoy a smug smile now and then when some fool in a Corvette or BMW mistakes the Evo for a backyard custom job and tries to teach a lesson about "real" go-fast machinery. Hoo-hah."
Well.. maybe you could find a base C4 Corvette or 3-series that you could beat, but a Z06 or M3 would still own the Evo8. :)

Depends on the distance they go. If it were a1/4 mile the evo would destroy the two.

It\'s a different style of driver that apprectiates cars like this, or the S2000. I\'ve drivven an S2000 only four times, but each time Iwalked away amazed that theelffing that that "was not a comfort car", .buit a car built for the \'racer\' in me. Thta\'s what these aim for. You want sily smooth tursn and shocks, with nice quite ride, and a clean easy shift, get agoddamn 35k luxury car. You want a car where the money=speed... look at those models.
EDIT:
*I shoudlan\'t ha seaid \'the racer\' (sorry racer, I never participated tin the bashing before but....), I shoulds said \'the automotive racer\'.

You know your getting a \'racecar\' when creature comforts are removed for weight gains.
I love the \'unluxurious\' carbon fibre interior for the new BMWs.
