The dream of every coin\'s collector is owning all the coins minted in the world in the history: impossible task, that\'s why it\'s called DREAM. However one feasible aim can be realized in the world of coins: to have, at least, 1 coin from every country in the world. And it is not as easy as you can think.
At the moment, I have 62 countries (of aprox. 193 countries in the world). I\'ll post the complete list. If you have any coin, or are from any zone in the world from which it\'s hard to get coins (Tyrant, nO-One ;p), I would be pleased to receive, at least one of those forgotten countries.
It\'s funny to have coins from Jordania, Aruba or Malaysia, not very easy countries, and have an important lack in the collection of countries like Japan or India. In the world of coins, friends, exchanges and contacts are a matter of vital importance. So I\'d like to use this thread to make you know that all those that have sent, or will send coins, are doing me a great favour, much more bigger than they believe.

Is it just me, or did you complete brutalize the spelling of Czechoslovakia? Or is that how they spell it now?
I have some coins from the Philippines.... You want \'em?
-
Sure, if they\'re not in the list, they will be welcomed.
I used Oxford dictionary to translate the name of that country because it\'s hard indeed. It said that name.
-
I\'m looking through my coins to see if I have anything you need. Hopefully I\'ll have some country you\'re missing.
-
Ok, I found the following countries that weren\'t on your list:
Hong Kong, Belice, Denmark, India
I also have several coins with Asian looking characters on them, but I can\'t tell what countries they would be from. Is there any way to look that up online?
-
That\'s cool shockwaves, although I do have Hong Knong ones. As you can see I don\'t have any from Belice, Denmark or India.
Mmm... asiatic characters are quite difficult to guess, but in the most of the cases, the name of the coin\'s country is written in occidental characters. However, I don\'t have much problems with the arabic ones because I can read the arabic alphabet, and it\'s not that hard to know the country of which the coin comes... Send \'em anyway :)

still trying to find the collection, but stumbled onto 3 old Chinese Cash coins. I guess there from around 1908-1911. If you want me to send them, let me know, they look like this;
-
Adan, I don\'t know what Danish coins Shocky will send you, but I\'ll send you some current ones as well. :)
-
I cannot make any promises, but i\'ll try my best to get coins from this reigon and send\'em to ya :).
btw how does one go around sending coins thru mail (i have never sent anything thru post before).
-
Kewl replies. Let me say some things.
Shockwaves: those 3 countries will be extra nice additions to the collection. Indeed, every new coin is welcomed. Thanx a lot.
Theomen: those rock dude.
Vapor: If you find it, damn good!
Spudz: Yens are one of the most important lacks I\'ve. If you could send \'em that would be great. I\'m not into tokens, but who knows... :)
Samwise: thanx a lot.
Tyrant: I know you\'ll do your best. Your region is "sweet" for coin collectors... so I trust you.
And this is for Tyrant and SER, and all you that want to send me some coins. THE CORRECT WAY TO SEND COINS THROUGH POSTAL MAIL:
First of all, sending coins by postal mail IS NOT FORBIDDEN. It\'s sending old antiquies property of a state (Anybody rings a bell? :D)
Just get an envelope and a cartoon. If the envelope is adapted to introduce objects much better (I mean air cushioned envelopes).
Stick the coins to the cartoon and then fold the cartoon, so the coins are now in between to layers of material. This way, the coins will not produce sound, nor will be detected by the bastards that steal the coins in postal offices.
Then, just close the envelope and try to get any warranty in the sending. You can certify the letter, or whatever you call it. CHIZZY knows what I mean.
Postal mail is cheap and secure if things are done well.
Thanx a lot.

It cost about $6 usd to send a padded envelope full of coins to Spain. Easy- all you have to do is fill out a customs slip and declare "collector coins".
-
I\'d be more than willing to send some Australian coins to you Adan.
Just gimme some time. :)
-
Thanx Bobs :)
-
I\'ll send out the coins tomorrow...or Monday at the latest. And am still looking for that damn collection I had.
-
I\'m so excited theomen about those chinese ancient ones... :)

I\'m going down to Central America later this summer, so pm the addy, and I\'ll bring back some from Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, etc.

If the current currency of Iraq has Saddam\'s face on it or any of his sons or anything depicting his regime, I would imagine it would become very collectible very soon. Similar to how Nazi memorabilia became very rare and very expensive after world war II ended along with their party.
-
^
Their are still neo-Nazi\'s in the world.
Adan: here a jelly belly one:

You pay like 51 cents, and it smashes a coin into a print depecting a local place, for one thing its rare to find these machines, and for another its a flat penny, :D. Its groovy  BTW: Im not that serious about these coins.
-
As I told you, I\'m not into tokens. Anyway it would be a good start.
That\'s normal. If a new regime/government is instaured over there, his coins and bills will become expensive and rare objects. Did you see the lines in the Vatican city a couple of days ago due to the launching of a new euro series?
