Confirming widely-believed earlier reports, Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced plans to debut Gran Turismo 4 at a special exhibition just before the Electronic Entertainment Expo next month. Polyphony Digital director Kazunori Yamauchi will officially unveil the game on May 14, the first day of the show, and the game will be playable at that event.
Gran Turismo 4 is powered by an entirely new gameplay engine and artificial intelligence system for the most realistic racing experience possible. SCEA promises more cars, courses, and racing modes than its predecessor, as well as online gameplay via the PS2 Network Adaptor.

With all that on tap, it\'s no wonder we can\'t wait to try this one out. Look forward to hands-on impressions when we get to play the game at the show.

He said "I was just giving you an idea how it\'ll look" and "The real pics are coming soon."

Cant wait!! Who is this guy anyways? Someone inside SCEA, SCEE??

I would love an Australian or Brazilian track in GT4 (good excuse to create some sweet graphics) and hope they include water as a feature for rally racing (splashing around some wet dirt track in a 206 would rock). I also think tracks need to be more interactive; waterfalls, birds, dust, fog etc.

I don\'t need car damage if they impliment weather effects (I\'m talking rain, storms, fog, snow, extreme heat - the real deal).

Oh hell yeah! That would be sweet. I could definately deal without car damage if they had weather effects and a brazillian or austrailian stage. The birds would be a sweet touch as well. I definately want to see snow in gt4. Maybe a little ice. I loved it in rallisport challenge. I want GT4 to blow that out of the water. That would be a dream come true.

As for the ferrari, i actually thought it was in game! :D I mean the game looks so great in replays anyway i barely noticed at first. Im glad that one of my favorite car manufacturers is in gt4. So all we have left is maybe the new GT40 and some REAL exotics, like the saleen and the mclaren (yeah now im dreaming).
