If you lick your envelopes...You won\'t anymore!!!!
A woman was working in a post office in California.
One day she licked the envelopes and postage stamps instead of
using a sponge.
That very day the lady cut her tongue on the envelope.
A week later, she noticed an abnormal swelling of her tongue.
She went to the doctor, and they found nothing wrong. Her tongue
was not sore or anything.
A couple of days later, her tongue started to swell more, and it
began to get really sore, so sore, that she could not eat. She went back to
the hospital, and demanded something be done.
The doctor took an x-ray of her tongue and noticed a lump. He
prepared her for minor surgery. When the doctor cut her tongue open, a
live cockroach crawled out!!!!
There were roach eggs on the seal of the envelope.
The egg was able to hatch inside of her tongue, because of her saliva. It
was warm and moist... This is a true story reported on CNN.

3) To All:
I used to work for a print shop (32 years ago) and we were told
NEVER to lick the envelopes. I never understood why until I had to go
into storage and pull out 2500 envelops that were already printed for a
customer who was doing a mailing and saw several squads of roaches roaming
around inside a couple of boxes with eggs everywhere.
They eat the glue on the envelopes.
I think print shops have a harder time controlling roaches than a
restaurant. I always buy the self sealing type. Or if need be I use a
glue stick to seal one that has the type of glue that needs to be wet to
stick.
PLEASE PASS THIS ON, if you like, TO YOUR FRIENDS.
After reading this you will never lick another envelope or
stamp ever again.

I watched a film once where a secretary was mailing letters and sealing the envelopes, that’s all she did.. I know sounds boring I know but lets just say she wasn’t using her tongue or a damp sponge to wet the envelope. ;)

I hate licking the envelopes to stick \'em, but I guess they will use non-toxical products. I suposse, she would be allergic to that glue.

OMG, and one time George\'s girlfriend was licking these really CHEAP envelopes that had been recalled, and the glue was toxic, so Susan DIED!!!
George also slipped on one of the envelopes after playing a game of frolf!!!

Cockroach eggs are housed in a relatively large shell that is usually attached to the end of a female cockroach. About 1/3 the size of a pea.

i wouldnt do it anyways.. some envolopes are made in prison, or so i heard, and the prisoners do not so nice stuff to them......

Wouldnt your body try to defend itself against a foriegn object like that?
In one of my psych classes, this wonderfull little tidbit of information came up:
In your lifetime, a cockroach and or a spider will crawl in your mouth about 6 times while you sleep. thats some nasty shiznit. Which makes me wonder... Do you think a cockroach could lay its eggs in your throat? Now theres a nasty story....You wake up one morning with a really sore throat, you start coughing, suddenly 30 baby roaches start crawling up your tongue.... MMMMM extra vitamins and minerals! :)

Hey nice 944, pstwo. You should have posted a thread just on your 944. Do you have the base 158hp model, or is it a turbo or an S? Those late 80\'s / early 90\'s models are remarkably affordable right now, but I\'m always scared off by the maintenance costs. Have you found it expensive to own?

Thanks Coredweller! I have the U.S base 944 model. It\'s not the "S" with 16 Valves or the Turbo. I just finish working on the botom half of the engine. I had to change the main and con-rods bearings. My con-rod bearings was knocking so I had to use over sized bearings (.25mm) so I had to take out the crank and resurface the crank to fit the the .25mm bearings on. At the same time since the engine was out, I change the clutch disc, Pressure plate, Throw out bearing, Flywheel seal, Pilot bearing and resurface the flywheel. I did all the work and save $$$.
Yes, I think it safe to have around $2,000 for 944 maintenance costs.

This is my 2nd 944 I owned. I had a white 944. Once you drive a 944, It feels like no other car. :p

Argh, for some goddamn reason tat rreminds me of my firend who likes this guy who is in the army. hes a real asshole, wnd was eeally mean to me grr. it pisses me off, and she hasnt seen him in 3 years and i hate it cause she acts like hes the greatest thing ever. why this has to do with licking envelopes? she snnt him a letter yesterday that had a picture she took with her webcanm when he called her on her cell phone. it was really stupid.. i cant believe she did this to me :( shes hot now hwhehehehe. wooo, i love hot firnds. excuse this post, cause im drunk.
