 Ugh.. it looks like a flat mushroom. Fugly
-
Looks like a toilet to me on the pic with the lid up :D
-
Err...the ToiletStation(c)??? Ha-ha!!
-
fugly fugly fugly...
I like the colors though :)
-
no way is the ps3 gonna be that small..the cpu and graphics chip are gonna be big beasts..much to big to fit in a case the size of a discman. Besides that design is fugly anyway....
-
Is that a CD Walkman or a console?
*ahem* NEWSFLASH! there is a console on the market called Playstation 2, so for the time being please don\'t believe what they tell you about the PS3 for at least another 2 years and concentrate on keeping Sony on top!
-
That\'s better, my keyboard is now working propley :D
-
that Im sure is someones "conception" of what it MIGHT look like there have been alot of them.
-
Ugly and not to mention completely uninteresting at this early stage...
-
As long as they get rid of disk trays I am good
-
Well I like concept art, this one (while ugly) is well done. I like how they used the walkman logo to make the PS3 logo.
However, I\'d have a slot loading drive instead of the old pop up style
-
I would prefer the pop up lid only because it is much easier to clean the lens.

I second that.
Anyway, for just dreamings sake, that model is not the worse thing they could have come up with, but definately not the best. I like the fact that the controlers should be wireless standard. That would sell a lot of consoles. The 3 disk thing is great too. Ive been begging for one for the longest time. One thing i dont understand is that they said NVIDIA was making the graphics chip??? Riiiiiight. Anyway, built in HD and all that processing power in that small package? Doubt it. Like i said, while this probably wont be ps3 its an ok (wannabe) concept.

It was rumoured some time ago. Apparently though, Sony gave Nvidia the boots.
-
Thats kinda lame. NVIDIA takes all the chips cause they have hands on all sides of the table except for nintendo. Since when has sony ever gone for PURE American manufacturers? I think they should..... meh, like it will matter : P

The end to controller wires. Do they make Bluetooth controllers yet for PS2?
-
Bluetooth wouldn\'t handle amound of data, it\'s also designed solely as a short range communication thingie.
802,11g could fit today\'s requirements, both distance wise and the fact that force feedback has become the standard.
However I wouldn\'t want a controller that needed batteries and whatnot, gimme either a charging cradle or stick with the wires.
The only thing I demand from the next console is the ability to turn it on with the controller, I hate sitting infront of the tube thinking "ehh nothing on, best to play a game" and having to stand up to fire up the console, let me just grab the controller and start playing.
Call me lazy or whatever I don\'t mind :p
-
......why is there only 1 place to plug in the controller? :crap:
-
Its a well done concept....I just dont like it. IA agree with what was said before....the PS3 logo outta the walkman bubbly things was cool...but thats all I liked
-
I personally don\'t give a rats patootie what it looks like. It\'s what\'s inside that counts. I personally would like it to just fit in my entertainment rack.
-
:D funny.

there are no controller slots. they\'re wireless.

That\'s not all that bad...compared to the rest of the concept art I\'ve seen. Compared to the PS2...it looks like f*ing shee-yot. It\'s nice to see people coming up with new ideas though. Also, don\'t be so quick to judge how big or small the new Sony system will be. The technology is, in fact, being able to put an entire supercomputer just on one chip. I don\'t care too much for this concept, but we only have 2 or so years to wait anyway.
I was talking with an employee at Gamestop, and I was asking him questions if Sony had given any word about it\'s release (the PS3), and he said it was 7 to 10 years down the line, and he had no idea what I was talking about when I started explaining about IBM and Sony working together. I called him a few choice names and never asked him for help again. I hate ignorance...ignorance isn\'t bliss.

I sure hope the rumours are true about a revamped XBOX the size of a PS2...let\'s see if E3 spills anything.

They should have just done that in the first place. I don\'t like the Xbox only because Microsoft is trying to monopolize the gaming industry just like the computer industry...by buying out companies to make "Xbox-Only" games. Great graphics...stupid Bill Gates. It would be nice to see a smaller version of the Xbox, though. It seriously is just WAY too big...the cotroller is the worst I\'ve seen too. Hard to get a hold of it with my small-ass hands...which I didn\'t know were that small until the Xbox came around. I heard they\'re going to add a toaster and VHS option to the Xbox...:boom: j/k (obviously)
E3...much fun...:)
