I\'m having a little debate with a mate over which is better. Xmen2 or Daredevil. Personally i think Xmen2 is way better. In fact I think it\'s in a league of it\'s own.
Also, do u think wolverine does less or more fighting in part 2. I say wayyyy more... Yet my mate believes otherwise.
-
Spoilers:
Of course wolveriene has more fighting parts, two of the biggest fighting seen in the movie involved him....
-
X-Men by a long shot
-
[sp] how come people don\'y know we have spoiler tags? oh and xmen 2 > daredevil. [/sp]
-
Look at the Spiderman VS Daredevil thread.
Xmen>Spiderman>Daredevil
Ben Affleck sucks.
-
As for as Marvel films go..
X-Men 2 > Daredevil > X-Men > Spiderman > Captain America > The Punisher > Fantastic Four.
And for that matter - I can\'t say I enjoyed any of them, \'cept for X2 , which was midly entertaining.

I thought X-Men2 has been the best comic-book to movie transition evar.
-
[sp]I voted spiderman but i have to say that daredevil would not have been worth anything if not for jennifer garner[/sp]

How can X2 be the best comic to movie ever? What about \'Superman\'? That was the truest to the spirit of the comic, not to mention a brilliant piece of cinema. Then there is Tim Burton\'s 1989 \'Batman\', which is still ten times better than any of Marvel\'s effort. X2 was Marvel\'s best effort and it was still lacking.
-
I LIC, I thought it was the best. I thought the Superman and Batman movies were decent but wasn\'t interested in them that much since I\'m a hardcore X-Men fan that\'s why I made that statement.
-
I KNOW you are WRONG .
:D
When I think of a comic to movie translation two things come to mind.
Superman
"Don\'t worry Miss, I got you.."
"You got me??!?! Whose got you!?!?!"
Batman
"Don\'t kill me man, don\'t kill me.."
"I\'m not going to kill you..I want you to do me a favor....Tell all your friends about me.."
"What are you!?!?"
"I\'m Batman !"
I can\'t remember any lines out of X2, because none of \'em stood out.
That\'s my two cents.

how about this.
iceman parents ask..
"so, what are you a professor of?"
Wolverine replys
"ART"
Or something like that.

this is awsome just like when I was 10 the dc people hate the marvel kids and the marvel kids hate the dc kids awwww you guys are the greatest

Hey now..
As for as character\'s and story (comic wise), I think Marvel as DC beat. The only DC character I like in the comics is Batman. The Superman character is crap now\'a\'days and any other DC character is just lacking.
However, when it comes to movies, I don\'t think Marvel has really caught on yet. Spiderman took to many liberities , such as the web-shooters and the fact that Mary Jane was Parker\'s all time love.
I also think Spiderman lacked a lot in the character department..Oh and let\'s not forget those terrible outfits.
X-Men was poorly written and very borin\', in my opinion. I remember waiting all my childhood for it..finally seeing it, on opening day and coming out disgusted.
DareDevil could of been a lot better if they would of recasted Electrka\'s character . Bullseye was totally out of place in the film also.
X2 was a marked improvement, but could of been better.
With that said - Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin was all crap. Superman 3 & 4 was also crap.
Now when we get into animated series, its a toss up. Batman: The Animated series has been one of the most succesful animated series ever. It spawned 116 episodes , an animated movie and then two more direct to video animated movies. Not to mention FOUR videogames based off the animated series and one of the most succesful and long running (Mattel just got the rights) toy series.
However, Superman wasn\'t worth watching.
Justice League (season one) was severely lacking. Hopefully season two will fix a lot of the problems that they faced with season on.
On Marvel\'s side, you had X-Men which was a decent series for the first two seasons but went downhill face. I don\'t blame Marvel for this though. I blame Fox and their love for Saban Animated. Saban was a terrible company, yet Fox wanted them to do the series.
Yet, you have Spider-Man: The Animated Series and it was great. Marvel Animated Studio\'s done a great job and Semper\'s writing (who is now helping with \'Justice League\') was top-notch. It\'s just a shame the series was only 65 episodes long, as it truly captured the feel of the comics .
With that said - it should be obvious I\'m not a DC or Marvel fanboy. Though my biggest superhero would have to be Batman and Spiderman behind him.
-
LIC..
I think no matter what movie you see you\'ll not like. Seems to me you expect to much and that’s why you end up being disappointed. How about watching a movie without high expectations and you\'ll probably enjoy it a lot more. In fact why watch any marvel/dc movies/animation series if you don\'t like them anyway...

*cough* *cough*
NERDS!
-
Here\'s my take on things, Nerds > Xmen > Samwise the Traitor.
-
I\'m a dedicated fan of all superhero flicks and what not. Out of my DVD collection a lot of it is suphero movies, down to the B-rated ones. I also end up buyin\' all that cartoon\'s either on DVD or VCD (as I had to do with Batman: The Animated series , G.I JOE and Spider-Man). I still collect the toys and statue\'s (DC Direct 0wnz!). So, yes, I go into a movie expecting something great and even if I dread see\'ing it (as with Daredevil) I\'ll bring myself to go, just in case it is something great.
-
So...you\'re basing your opinion on stupid little catch phrases? Ok...
-
No. I\'m basing my opinion on the fact that those above movies had substance and they had moments that truly captured the feel of the comics. X2 had no such moments. It was mindless action, driven by under-developed characters. Is that the comic? I think not.
-
hmm.. How can one base facts simply on there opinions
A lot of people think the characters in X2 were quite developed and people could relate with certain aspects of them on some level. Also explain to me how you can fit in tones of character development based on a series that\'s been running for years in 2 hours? The series was a continuation type structure. You pretty much have to watch a certain amount of the series to understand characters, plots etc. With movies they have to try and fit it into a certain amount of time. Personally I thought xmen2 was well done and not just mindless action, they had backgrounds on certain characters while none on others, just like the comic books/cartoons. One episode could be totally based on Cyclops while the next could be storm.. Problem with comic to movie translations is people expect way too much, they have all this background and knowledge on how the movie should be, rather then how it is. When going into a movie with these kinds of expectations, you\'ll always be disappointed.
I’ve been a X-men fan for years, but I never expected to much. I don’t with any movie. If so, Spiderman would have been very disappointing.
-
Comparing a movie like Xmen2 to a piece of crap isn\'t even justifible.
-
Alright - taking out the DC and Marvel factor, can we at least agree that \'The Crow\' is one of the greatest comic to film translations?
Come on!
-
The Crow rules all those fag0t movies. :D
