After selling my Turbo Duo collection I finally had enough money for a new system - well sort of...
Chieftec Dragon Case
P4 2.4G
Asus P4PE Mobo 533 FSB 333DDR
512 MB DDR
ATI 9500 Pro
Swapped out my -
60GB and 40GB HD\'s
Soundblaster Live
CRW, DVD and 3.5 floppy drives
Presto new computer for $500+
This should last me a while ;)

You\'re going to like the 9500 pro
-
You sold your Turbo Duo collection for that?!?!?
How much did it go for?
:(
Poor Turbo Duo..

Congrats Giga, that\'s a nice rig. Pretty similar to my own. :)

the ATi 9500 must have been on sale, eh?

I sold the Duo collection for $920 - had a Kisado and an Express with 61 games. I have way to many video games and needed a new computer (had a PIII 866).
One question about the 9500 though, I see it must be connected to your power supply - never seen this before. Any suggestions? Don\'t be sarcastic mm ;) I sold my old case with video card, mobo and processor to a friend for $120 so that is where the $500 figure came from after I subtracted that $120.

Suggestions for what? Plug that baby in. If you mean what wattage of PS I\'d go 350. My 300 can handle it but I like breathing room.

Wow 500 bux. damn. Not bad. I need a new pc baaaaad. I have a custom: p3 from 733 overclocked to 1.06 with 330mb sdram and only 30 gig hard drive. The mother board is shitty and cant hold anything so i really need a new pc. I have a 52x21x52 CD-RW and a 40x drive and my fans are really good and i dont think ill burn out anytime soon. My audio is ok but my speakers are some pretty good altecs. Wireless cable modem network to the other computers and thats about it. really crappy. :(

Wow, yet another P2.4b & Asus P4PE owner.. I\'ve had this configuration for months and have no complaints at all, hope you enjoy it!

EDIT - got rid of the SB Live in favor of an Audigy 2. I can really tell the difference in games like BF 1942 and listening to music... doesn\'t hurt to have 6.1 either.
What started out with me just upgrading my HD has pretty much turned into me getting a whole new PC... Unless the DVD or CDRW goes (or DVD RW\'s drop dramatically in the near future) down the toilet I am set for a while.
