Title: ****, password problems...
Post by: (e) on May 28, 2003, 05:42:57 PM
While installing my Counter-strike, and new version I couldnt wait to play..

Now I have it loaded up and ready- but when I click on Play CS, it doesnt want to. something about parental controls, then i realise, my brother was playing with it and set a random password.

Anyway I can get through this?

Uninstall halflife + all the mods. If it continues. You may wanna learn how to use regedit ;)

My guess is that it is hidden in the system reg. Best Bet: Look up on the \'net on how to fix the problem. You\'ll either discover that a good uninstall can do it , or you\'ll find a site that tells what registery key to delete.

yeah this has happened to me too.. but for me it was just Half-life.

what happened was I entered the code in correctly the programme confirmed it.

and everything was fine

until a couple of months later when I went to play it and it said invalid CD key..... Very strange.

had to uninstall / reinstall it.
