80\'s are alwsome in those days, I never forget it...

suprisingly, i can\'t think of anything else to add

-
sigh, i always said the "new thread" and "post reply" buttons were too close together

80\'S ROCKED!
Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, U2, The Police....and other New Wave bands!
Plus, I had such a great time....until the 90\'s when I got a job and this thing called....umm.....responsibilities. Yuck!
-
actually, tears for fears is the only band in that list that began in the 80\'s
-
All British bands too I see. Although U2 are Irish, but close enough.
-
don\'t let the irish hear you say that
:)
-
or the british...

Or the English

You don\'t know what you\'re talking about, do you?
U2\'s Joshua Tree was out in 1987. Depeche Mode not from the 80\'s??? You ain\'t from the 80\'s or you were some school nerd shut in. All of those I listed are from the 80\'s.
-
sigh, its mighty pathetic that you think U2\'s first album was "the joshua tree"
both were formed in the late 70\'s (were you even alive back then?)
both of there 1st major label albums were released in 80 and 81 (respectively).
don\'t even think of accusing me of not knowing what i\'m talking about
pot, meet kettle
-
Nearly all of them got their popularity in the 80\'s and are known as 80\'s bands. I was old enough to screw your mom in the back seat of a Cadillac in the 70\'s.
You DON\'T know what you\'re talking about.
EDIT - I never said U2\'s first album was "Joshua Tree".
-
I think mm is going for 11,000.
Stop pissing off the madman. He knows of which he speaks.
-
im not sorry if i don\'t subscribe to your MTV pop culture, gmanjoe
i know than what the TV tells me
(11,000? no, i just have to pace myself ahead of you, vid :))
-
Puhleez. We had no MTV in the country we moved to. I know what I listened to in my car.
-
to go back to the original argument
actually, tears for fears is the only band in that list that began in the 80\'s
convince me that, what i said is incorrect
-
Okay, fine. I\'m sorry for the insults but you seemed to insinuate that none of the bands were from the 80\'s. But what I said is not incorrect either. Heck, one could say that U2 was a 90\'s band though their prominence was more in the mid to late 80\'s.
EDIT - Depeche popularity began in 1984. I think. Pretty sure but not 100%.
-
one of the bands was from the 80\'s, i stated this
the others were formed in the late 70\'s
-
I think Depeche Mode got their start in the 80\'s. I recall in 1984 that they were VERY young. They\'re about my age or a little older.

how\'s yer 80\'s now?
i\'m really gonna vomit
-
How\'s my 80\'s? I told you it was great. If you give a shit about WHAM, that\'s your problem.
I noticed you have a tendency to rain on other people\'s likes. What\'s with you? You see someone say how much they enjoy a game or a movie and you pipe up and say "Oh, it sucked. How could you like it? I\'m gonna vomit. Bleh!"
What are you, some brat in real life that I picked on in high school?
-
LOL,
-
voltron, you can\'t even decipher between the "new thread" and "post reply" button. i\'m shocked you even spelled LOL correctly.
actually, gman. you claimed i didn\'t know what i was talking about when i said that 3 out of the 4 bands were formed in the late 70\'s (which they were).
did i bash anyone for liking any of those 4 bands? nope, i myself am a big fan of 3 of them. if you are male, over the age of 8, and like(d) wham!, you may be a homosexual.
-
So....you\'re a homosexual? So what?
-
and this coming from a guy with a banana holding an "i\'d hit it" sign under his name
-
And? What does that mean to you?
You see the banana as what? Does it advocate your sexual preference?
-
you pissying me off why wont you just shut the hell up! thankyou.
if I was owner of this site I would F**ken band you right now

-
you want a hint, kid?

 I have yet to see it in action.
-
If I was a noob and just came in, I\'d think mm was an angry person mad at the world :p . And yes mm, bust out the troll avatar :D :D :D

The formula is simple. If you were a CHILD during the 80s, you probably liked it. Most people seem to have fond memories of childhood, unless you are Karl Childers from "Sling Blade."
If you were in high school or later during the 80\'s, and you are sane, then you hated it. There are always the legions of insane people who\'s lives stopped in high school, and still consider it the pinnacle of their existence. I\'m not one of those.
I graduated high school in 1985, so I\'m qualified to say this: The 80s SUCKED. HARD. There were so many bad things about it. I\'m going to mention just one that I know mm will relate to.
Every major movie studio decided in the 80s that they should switch to movie scores composed and performed on synthesizers. Orchestral scores were too expensive, and too "uncool" at the time, so we now have to deal with a whole generation of films with shitty scores. Yes, most of these are hollywood fecal matter anyway, but some otherwise worthwhile films were cursed by this as well. There are so many examples, but here\'s one. Try to see "Legend" with the Jerry Goldsmith score rather than the crappy Tangerine Dream score from the US release. It is immensely better. If you hated that film at the time, you might find yourself suddenly liking it. That\'s how big a difference it makes.
-
You didn\'t move to a tropical country in the 80\'s where we got European music, Japanese cars, beer at any age, tons of beaches and islands and all that other stuff you only read about.
My college days (back in the USA again) in the late 80\'s and early 90\'s were nothing but sex and cramming for exams. That was cool too. :)
And Cord, I was and still am completely sane.
