Since I have ADSL, my HDD is suffering so much and it seems that my cd-writer is not able to manage that amount of data (I have files that overpass the capacity of a normal 700MB cd-r) so i\'m thinking in buying a DVD writer.
But there is a problem... well there are more than one. The first one is that I\'m not into them very much. So I would like you owners to reply my questions.
Can I install a DVD-r in a Pentium II?
External/internal?
Any can suggest a determined model? Or at least a brand?
There are DVD-9 writers in the market?
Thanx dudes.

this site has some nice reviews on some dvdrw drives.
personally i recommend getting another harddisk (eg.120 gb HDD is half the price of some dvd writers) coz right now dvd writers are just too expensive.
but if u still want one, i\'ve been hearing good things about the HP DVD-RW\'s.

i agree, new HD = cheaper and more practical

Unless you "pirate" games and/or dvd movies.... ;)
I\'d personally only use a DVD Burner for 1 thing. That\'s to back up my roms and emulators. That\'s about it..
A HD would be a better option. :)

I\'ve been thinking about it. And yep, it\'s a good idea. A portable HDD would be great, to exchange files in between my laptop and old pc.
