Just thought i would post my new comps specs...




AMD Athlon - XP 2400+ 266MHz FSB

and to top it all off a 56k modem!(that i actually usem i need broadband, although i would have to get AOL broadband which is the shitiest most rip off broadband serice money can buy) =]

I got a new pc last week also, here\'s what I had before :
Pentium II 233mhz
6Gb hdd
Windows 95  
Memorex CD burner
CD rom drive (that\'s right, no DVD rom)!!!  
17" Dell monitor
Altech Lansing speakers

Here\'s what I have now

AMD Athon XP 2400+
512mb ram
ATI Radeon 9100 128mb
Matrox 160GB HDD
Sony DVD Multi burner (DVD-R,DVD+R etc)
Sharp 17" TFT monitor
Windows XP
Logitech optical mouse
Logitech keyboard
Creative 4.1 surround sound system

All for just over £1000.

Does anybody here have expierence with one of those 3D workstations by Alienware or 3DBOxx (Boxxtechnologies),
especially those dual proc. ?

I agree, why???? I hope you dont play Half-life 2 on that........... it needs a MUCH better card.  I would have gone with an ATI board, the new quake and half-life will be optimized for ATI....the developers know who is the Video card Boss now.
