Title: Toothbrush, isn\'t it dirty?
Post by: videoholic on June 20, 2003, 03:37:21 AM
SO we never wash the toothbrush.

It just sits there all day after being shoved in your dirty germ filled mouth.

It\'s never washed.

How is this so?

I mean putting an ounce of cold water on it before you put toothpaste on the brush does nothing.

Why is this so?

Shouldn\'t there be a steamer or something the toothbrush sits in to clean itself?

* Runs off to patent office *

how about Toothbrush cleaning fluid?

If you have teeth like MPTheory then I\'d suggest changing your toothbrush everyday!

I don\'t think this is the right topic but, why the hell we cleans our teeths? I don\'t know any animal, apart from humans, that clean their teeths with sophisticated materials. It would be enough to pick up the rest of food from your mouth and with your fingers... as animals do when anything incomodates them. Don\'t forget that we\'re animals.

I\'ve got some, it\'s called water. I can\'t believe you never clean your toothbrush, I do, every time I use it.

The tooth paste is a microbe killer. Any microbes on the tooth brush are already dead from the tooth paste. You just need to wash off the tooth paste. As for the filthy water you use to wash the tooth brush with.....well.....that\'s another topic. :p

I also read that you should leave your TB at least two metres from the shitter. Urine mist can travel that far and carry horrible germs.

Of course this doesn\'t help when your roomate shoves your toothbrush up his ass.

Well is Saudi Arabia I ve seen people using some kind of wood sticks to clean their teeth.

BTW:Cold water sends the germs to hibernation. So always use cold water. If you use warm water if there are a few germs that survived they will multiply themselves.

Adan:

You know, most animals don\'t have perfect teeth... far from it, they have cavities, missing teeth, and gum problems.  Nature sometimes compensates (beaver teeth keep growing, shark teeth keep coming in), but if you ever look at a 10 year old buffalo\'s mouth, then you realize exactly why humans developed toothbrushes, paste, flouride, floss, and listerine.

As for killing the germs, I think that probably the boiling hot tapwater most people rinse their teeth with will kill the germs, and the toothpaste itself, probably.

If my toothbrush had to be 6 feet from the shitpot, it would be outside the bathroom....... somewhere near the tree in the front garden.
