Title: Just had an accident
Post by: Titan on June 25, 2003, 12:15:18 PM: I was riding my bike home from work and i stopped on an intersection. Someone waved me by and I waved back. I lost control (wasn\'t going very fast) and I totally wiped out. I fell on my head, left hand and face. I just lyed there trying to bring myself back, on an intersection. Luckily it wasn\'ta busy one. So, two people helped get me off the street and I walked to the curb bleeding like hell from my hand. They got a first aid kit and told me to hold it on. A guy then said that he\'ll drive me home. He put my bike in the back of his van and drove me home. It took me over 40 minutes (just finished and in a bit of pain) to clean my cuts and scrapes and bandage them. This really is a good start to my summer vacation. i really am an idiot.

JUST KIDDING :)

That reminds me of the time a guy wiped out trying to avoid a car sticking out an intersection. Totally wiped out in front me, but he got back up and rode away, visibly embarrassed.

i racked my junk so bad one time when i was just learning to ride a bike.

1) it was downhill and i put it in high gear to go faster. I then stopped at the intersection without downshifting.
2) the woman waved me by and I was struggling to get going meantime being polite and waving to say \'thank you\'.
3) i fell probably because of those reasons

I guess I could have avoided this if I downshifted. Oh well. Cuts heal and chicks dig scars :)

wipeing out of a bike sucks. it happened to me a couple of times, but their was this one time i was going really really fast and i tried to take a corner a that speed (big mistake).
everything went fine until my wheels scraped the sidewalk i fell off and rolled 3 or 4 times and to make things worse the bike tumbled over me i ended up with a bruised rib and my shoulder blade got f\'ed up, my arms and back were completely covered with blood.
good thing was that i was able to get back up.
