I think I would just because he\'s badass. I guess you could say I\'m a republican, but I\'d still be willing to vote for him as long as he isn\'t *too* liberal. :) Call me a dumb stupid American but let\'s face it, Arnie just frikkin rocks and you know it!
But just to prove I\'m not totally crazy:
California governor: sure, why the hell not.
US President: No way
-
At this point, anyone is better then Gray Davis. He gets my vote for Governor, but not for President.
-
This Arnold?

Sure..
That Arnold in your post?
NO WAY!
;)
-
I\'d vote for him only if Hulk Hogan became president ;)
-
1. Arnold is a republican, so you shouldn\'t have any problem voting for him THX.
2. Arnold can never be elected president because he wasn\'t born a US Citizen.
-
Ok mr. technicality. :) I thought he was a democrat because of this joke he made at Bush saying the White House loves T3 because that\'s the only place they can find weapons of mass destruction. Only funny because he said it though.
-
I thought he was a robotic Cyborg. Can they be governors?
-
First of all I have to say that I\'m a huge freak\'n fan of Arnold as a Governor. He\'s an amazing business man, extremely inteligent, is loyal, can\'t be muscled around (He\'s a frick\'n Republican in the Kennedy Family, \'nuff said) He works his ass off for what he believs in (He put in 3 million dollars of his own money for after school programs, and campaigned endlessly). On top of all this, he\'s a public figure, look what Ventura did for Minnesota just because of who he is.
I\'ve already signed the petition to recall Gray Davis, AKA the idiot who can\'t balance a f*ck\'n check book. And if we go to a recall election I\'ll campaign for Schwarzeneggar, not because he\'s been an idol of mine since a child (he\'s the reason I\'m a body builder) but because I believe he can actually help this State.
-
Just so you know, Jesse Ventura was a complete disaster for the state of Minnesota. Virtually every Minnesotan now hates him.
-
I meant what his being a public figure did for minnesota, not what his politics did.
-
Sure I\'d vote for him if I could. :D

You mean what bad things it did for Minnesota? I\'m not quite following you, so maybe you could state what things you\'re talking about.
-
Well fist of all his high profile helped market Minnesota products and tourism. While I think it\'s stupid to buy things from a state or visit it because of the Governor, people do that type of stuff.
-
How about the international ridicule of having a professional wrestler as a governor? That is certainly nothing to be sneezed at. And let\'s not forget all the crazy statements he made during his tenure, alienating minorities and women.
I would agree that Arnold is several steps above Jesse, AND California has a history of electing actors as Governors (such as Ronald Reagan), but still I just don\'t feel he\'s qualified for the job. Also I\'m sick of knee jerk conservatives always trying to change the rules of the game by impeaching / recalling anyone they don\'t like. Democratic officials like Gray Davis are no worse than Republicans. The only difference is Democrats are satisfied to play by the rules and wait for the next election to replace officeholders they don\'t like.
-
Democrats satisfied...Al Gore....recount...*cough*
;)
-
I\'ll never vote republican !!!!!!
Conservatism is the root of ALL Evil

What eventually happened? He conceded. Do you expect me to believe that if Gore had won by such a tiny margin, that the Bush cronies wouldn\'t have attempted to recount the closest states? Recounts are no big deal in any election. Recalls and impeachments ARE a big deal, and they should only be used in very dire circumstances.... not anytime your candidate didn\'t win.
-
First of all I was joking with the Gore remark.
But I can\'t believe anyone wouldn\'t want to take Davis out of office. I mean he bankrupted the 4th or 5th largest economy in the world.
-
I would just because he\'s different than the suited politicians who think they\'re all that.

I agree
but Bush should be impeached. For telling half truths to gain support for his "Daddy\'s Revenge" War. We had no business being in Iraq, and we sure as hell shouldn\'t have told the UN and the rest of the world that "We\'ll do whatever we want whether you approve or not" . Iraq was obviously being contained with sanctions. Bush stepped over the line with intelligence and people we\'re killed. He should be put away for life.
and know are friends and relatives are over their being picked off almost daily and they still want us to get the _uck out.
I\'m sure there are a few areas he\'s crooked as hell in.

Welcome to hell!

Not only would I vote for him, I\'d move to California just because it would be that much cooler.
-
Are Republicans even close to getting elected in Cali?
-
Out of the shadows of being too busy...
I\'d vote for Arnold only because I believe he is better then Davis. And only if he was the only other choice on the recall ballot. But IMO, I\'d rather have an experianced politician then Arnold (a COMPETENT experianced politician that is. Which, while Davis is experianced, he isn\'t competent).
-
Looks like Arnold is backing down.
Any of you find it odd how easy it is to recall an election? I mean they don\'t even need a million votes. That is ubsurd. Couldn\'t any election be recalled by the opposing party if this is all it takes?
-
The recall depends on the last election. 13% I believe of the total number of voters in the last election. That number is the required number of signatures from registered voters in order to force a recall (in Nevada, its 20%). Due to the fact that voter turnout was at an all time low, Davis, you could say, set a new low.
Now, even getting 13% is normally very hard to do in the first place. Remember, if it was easy, the 31 times it was tried before this one, it would\'ve succeeded. Instead, this IS the first time a recall of a governor has been successful. Which, goes to show how much Davis is unliked in this state.
As for Republicans winning in California, no Republican lost by more then 300,000 in the last election. The closet, was about lost by 30,000. Now, if Republicans were able to get more of them to vote due to the low turnout, it was really possible that we could\'ve swept statewide offices. Of coarse, the opposite happen because they couldn\'t do it (and I blame in part, Bill Simon. But mostly the party leaders who, since they didn\'t like Bill Simon or anyone that is a TRUE conservative, withheld their support and money and let the Democrats take the state).

I love that
But Clinton was supposed to have been roasted in a public square.
A lie is a lie is a lie is a lie is a lie is a lie is a lie....
It doesnt matter if the president lied on stage..press conference..debate..stand..anywhere.
If they did it to Clinton..Bush should at least have to do it as well. But like someone else said in another thread, Im sure he would never be.
