OK, read this story. Two things jump out at me. One is the obvious. How can you not know how to get home. Just how drunk do you have to be? 8% is a freaking high number although I assume if youa re taking a cab out of a night club you are probably pretty shit faced.
But here is my question.
Why, in the last paragraph do they have to identify the cab driver as black? Who the hell cares what color he is? Are there not many black cab drivers in london?

All these cab rides wouldn\'t be necessary if the stupid Underground ran later at night. I got stranded in London once at the late late hour of 10:30pm and the trains had stopped running. :rolleyes: I was poor back then, so I had to walk back to my hotel. I had to navigate back using London A-Z, and it was a miracle I found my way with all those weird streets and intersections. You folks need a good grid system like American cities!

It\'s 20 years since I was last in London. I would rather stay well clear, it looks far too busy and hectic for me what with all those underground trains etc. A day trip all those years ago was enough for me.

I live near Washington D.C. and I have to say that it is the most confusing city i\'ve ever had to navigate through. Too many circles and one way streets, and they are so damn narrow. The D.C. beltway is a joke too. At least I live in baltimore which is much easier to get around in.

Buffalo= teh easy... one expressway that encircles the city, one offshoot that runs right through the middle. The only place that was easier was Sacramento. theomen will probably correct me, but I think all east-west streets are A-Z, and north-south are numbered.
The irish & polish built Buffalo, so there are a lot of roundabouts and diagonal parkways, but essentially you will end up on one of three main thoroughfares.

Ah, so there are black taxis? That\'s funny.
I wonder if the yellow taxi\'s are offended then.. ;)
