Wasn\'t a big fan of his music at all but it is a shame. Those couple songs I heard were pretty soothing.

I know you\'re not comparing Strom Thurmond to Barry White, but still... putting them in the same sentence is like serving cheesecake with a dog turd garnish. (Strom Thurmond = the turd, in case you were wondering).
-
None of them can be compared. I\'m not a big fan of any of them, especially freakin\' strom. Just 3 high-profile deaths is all.
-
Which raises another question:
Let\'s say you become moderately famous, have a long and productive career, but then you have the misfortune of dying right around the time of other people much more famous than you. What can you do about it? I would have an assistant reading me obituaries on my deathbed to make sure I time my departure appropriately. :)
BTW, my example of this is Buddy Hackett. I\'ve always loved that guy, but he had the bad luck to kick off right after Katherine Hepburn. The day the Hollywood Reporter ran his obit, they put him on p.18 or something, and there was ANOTHER story about Hepburn on page one, even though she had already been dead several days. What a drag.
-
Sara, you forgot Buddy Hacket who also died last week. The day after Hepburn.
-
anywonder he is dead, last year he had some concerts here, and he had to literally be carried onto the stage, and once he was there, he couldn\'t move. He was so fat and unhealthy.
