i tried it out when it first came out, the fact that i had to pass a gajillion training missions before i could actually play online really bugged the hell outta me (*not that they were hard or anything), oh and once i got online their were more training missions.
i tried it again some weeks ago, and i still think it sucks.
in short, unless you really have nothing better to do, i suggest saving yer bandwidth for something else.
btw sammy check yer PM box.

Its free so try it out.
I thought it was so-so.. The new version looks pretty good though.
Oh and get Battlefield :)

Heh, well I\'m seriously strapped for cash the next couple o\' months, so no Battlefield for me. Then I thought of AA and realised it was free. Didn\'t want to bother dl\'ing it though if it was very crappy.

I bought AA for $10 used online.

I think its a really good game. I haven\'t played it in a while but it has some really good levels and team play and the developer support is hands down better than any other game out there.
The training missions are there because they don\'t want new players just jumping into real games when they don\'t know how to play, move, or use certain weapons. Its a really good idea IMO. Also, they don\'t tolerate TKs and players that TK too much get sent to Leavenworth(prison) or kicked from the server by players.
My main gripes are with the cheaters on the non-army owned public servers and with the fact that some veteran players(High honor players) think that anyone who beats them on a consistent basis and has low honor is a cheater and always try to initiate votekicks.
I would definately download the game and give it a try. Teamplay is such an added bonus in this game. A group that actually plays like a team could dominate a server.
BTW, If you do get it, look for \'MrMenshun\' on the SCI servers in Weapons Cache SE or Bridge SE.
