STOCKHOLM. - A seropositive of 27 years old has been condemned by a tribunal from Stockholm to four years of jail and to pay a compensation of 620.000 Swedish crowns (67.000 Euros) for damages due to maintain sexual relationships without protection with a dozen of men without informing them of his state.
This youth that gave positive of VIH in 1996, maintained during the last four years sporadic relationships with at least a dozen of people to those he didn\'t tell about hi condition.
It was condemned by "intent of violence", since none of their partners was infected. The district attorney was happy of the quantity of the punishment, keeping in mind that it was a crime in "tentative" degree, and he highlighted that they took place more than a hundred of sexual encounters without protection.
Nine of the convict\'s lovers will charge damages for value of between 50.000 and 90.000 crowns, while a tenth won\'t be compensated because he maintained relationships with protection.
The Swedish law imposes any sick person of a contagious illness to inform its sexual couples that it could contaminate them.
In their defense the youth that was arrested in June after being denounced by one of her former boyfriends, alleged that he didn\'t think that he could infect anybody, since the viral load of VIH in its organism is practically indetectable for the medications that he takes.
It seems that the 10th one was fastson.

Gotta love our system. Four frickin years (he will be out in 1½-2 years) in a hotel-like prison? He should have gotten 10 years minimum in a Turkish-like prison.
I hope the other inmates harass his arse to hell, like they did to the cop-killer Jackie Arklöv. :)

This is one area where we lead the world... Prisons. :p
Only problem: Maybe a Federal "Pound-Me-In-the-Ass" prison is not the best place for a gay guy convicted of spreading HIV.

Seriously.. I thought the meaning of jail was to suffer a little. They sure as hell aren’t now.

I don\'t think jail is aimed to suffer a little. I think that the lack of liberty is more than enough. But if a guy is condemned to 50 years, he has to be there 50 years, not 25.
