Title: Graphics card oc\'ing

well i\'m just getting into the OC\'ing world and i\'ve started with my gfx card, well i just wanted to know is it safe to oc my card using powerstrip?, i tried oc\'ing using using winfox (the prog that came with my card) but it only worked with the gpu core when i tried to oc the memory the screen went white and the pc just crashed.
right now i\'ve got my card to 260/455 i lowred the gpu from 275 coz i didnt know at what temp the core was running and i didnt want to burn the card.
