I just got back from a long vacation and I wanna edit these tapes and export them to DVD. Can anyone recommend a reliable software?
I heard that Dazzle has this $99 product but the sound doesn\'t sync with the footage and the DVD menu doesn\'t start where you intended. Also, it crashes.
I can\'t afford Adobe\'s Premiere Pro or it\'s upcoming DVD Encore. Unless I download it. ;)
How about a stand alone video editor like Casablanca Avio?
Videoholic? Any suggestions?

You want something to just hack the stuff up or something to do real video edit work?
Roxio 6 works pretty easy for DVD authoring.

Hack stuff together, do some sound overs with music, a few screen wipes and fades. Nothing too fancy.
I would like a good and precise DVD authoring with motion background. :)
What\'s a Video Hard Disk? I was thinking of getting this :

For me, a non-expert video fan, premiere is the best option available. We can discuss some things Gman, tell me your MSN.

Yeah, premiere isn\'t so bad for what you are looking for. Get Pinnacle Impression to for authoring.
