Title: Tomb Raider 2 much like the first....
Post by: Ginko on July 26, 2003, 05:47:16 AM: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life is probably what you expected.

The plot is simple enough to pin down in the first 15 mintues and the rest is watching Angelina Jolie doing aerobics with a gun. I actually found it entertaining and better than the first movie, but if you didn\'t care for the original movie then you\'ll want to stay clear of the sequel.

You\'ll also probably notice that Angelina took the role in a different direction...sort of. I can\'t quite explain it, but the way Lara acts is different this time around. It seems Angelina took the role a bit too serious almost, the character still comes off as fun and sexy though.

I also liked the idea of Lara having a partner through out the movie. Definitely added to the many action scenes through out the movie.

Mindless fun.

The plot in the new one seems kind of dull. I think I\'ll stay clear of this one. I can just tell from the previews that I\'m not gonna like it.

Post by: Lord Nicon on July 26, 2003, 01:11:51 PM: Id much rather see this than final destination 2. As a matter of fact i just got paid so i dont see why i just shouldnt go movie hopping:D. I know the perfect theatre for it too. I dont even think FD2 would be worth hopping over to. It seems that in COL that there is more action stunts. I thought the first would suck ass and didnt see it till it came out on video. To my suprise it wasnt as bad, (probably cause i wasnt expectiong much). Its probably the same with this one so ill go and see it.

Anyway, my gf wanted to see TR the other day, but it was my turn to pick and I picked Bad Boys 2. It was a great show, I remember being surprised about hearing that it was 2 hours and 30 mins... Didn\'t even notice the time pass by, it was that entertaining. :D

Post by: Ginko on July 28, 2003, 05:14:08 AM: Tried to go see Pirates of the Caribbean yesterday, sold out for the entire afternoon. Since we were at the movies we decided to check out 28 days later.

I wasn\'t impressed. I found myself in the same situation as in Matrix Reloaded...bored. 28 days was definitely different, not as scary as I hoped and nowhere near satsifying enough. On the upside I did see a preview for Underworld and that looks cool:/

Tomb Raider has been embalmed. It earned only $21.8 million over it\'s three day opening weekend, which put it in 4th place behind Spy Kids 3D, Pirates of the Caribbean and Bad Boys II. It probably won\'t break even. Thank god we don\'t have to worry about a Tomb Raider 3. :laughing:
