Database. You tell them three bands you like and they recommend something for you.
-
Bah... heavy traffic
-
^^
I\'m surprised your result wasn\'t Ace of Base
-
It keeps recomending saves the day
*kills database*
-
NoFX, Twisted Sister, and Mariah Carrey = Save the day? :\\
edit: ah, once you get past the "Saves the day" answers this site actualy has some use :P
okay now im drifting off into some sex-metal-techno category.... well its probley nothing like that but intersting site.. *Keeps searching*
-
I entered 3 different bands the first time and it gave me a good list of bands I like. But then I entered in 3 other different bands and it basically gave me the same list as last time.
-
What a load of crap, they suggested stuff I already listen to.
-
I put one contemporary rock Christian artist and 2 other contemporary rock bands and it recomended Audio Adrenaline. The I subbed 2 out for Tool and some other such band but kept the Christian one it it recomended Audio Adrenaline again. Infact no mater what other 2 bands I enter it gives the same answer. Not very good IMO.

Videoholic finds the lamest sites.

This may be a very new database or something. I tried it, but I had no clue who the band was it picked for me.
-
Guys, i recomend hitting the "I Like it!", "I dont know it!" "I dont like it" buttons, it gives more bands if you do.
-
Since when were there buttons?
-
You guys are teh stupid.
It worked pretty good for me, got a list of bands. The first one I knew and liked very much already. The rest I don\'t know as well, but will certainly check it out.
-
It\'s pretty interesting because the program takes into account the order of your choices and adapt the results to that order.
-
I typed in that I liked Wham, George Michael, and Elton John and it sugested I should try "Men At Work".
-
I just got to http://www.allmusic.com and type in a band I like. It then comes up with that bands influences and similar bands. With bio\'s and reviews for all

I\'m surprised it didn\'t recommend you to go have a hot shower with young boys.
