No match, although i wouldn\'t be worried if I was there.

They\'re going after people who have downloaded as little as five songs. I know it\'s stealing but I believe the music industry is shooting itself in the foot.
-
They are and ppl will retaliate by not buying their music. When profits dip more than they did when P2P wasn\'t bothered, we shall see what happens. :)
-
Can\'t they see that P2P is unstoppable through internet? They should begin to impose new matters, like pricing reductions, bonus footage and such.
-
I still wouldn\'t buy something with extra features, cuz eventually they will get out too.
Only way is to make it cheap.
-
But I mean sth like extended version in movies and bonus discs...

you know almost every high speed and dial ups have dhcp right wich means your ip is rarely the same... I doubt many of you here actually have a static IP.

Wow, my 56K modem is good for something then :)
-
Are they only able to go after the people with static IP addresses?
-
no it would be tracable because the ISP\'s server assigns you the IP everytime you log on so they could still trace it Im just saying that this site wouldnt really be of much use to someone with dhcp altough not having a static does make the whole process of finding you a little more tediuos.
-
are they still catching people???
-
You all do realize that even with dynamic ip\'s most larger isp\'s, or providers still keep a record of who had that ip.
-
Indeed they do. It makes life harder on the RIAA - but not impossible. The fact is, you can\'t completely hide and if they want to persue the matter, they can and will. Just like DirecTV has done.
-
heh I said that
