I wanna change my old traxdata 4x for a new cd-writer. I dunno which one to buy nor the best connection for this type of devices (firewire, usb, IDE..)
Could you recommend me a brand and a model? Thanx.

u can never go wrong with a liteon, their cheap, but are high quality and relaiable.
but if yer willing to spend some more cash the plextor cd-rw\'s are great :).

I\'m a big fan of plextor burners :thumb:
I had a lite-on burner and it died on me in under a year, besides my bad experience with them i\'ve heard good things... but i\'ll never buy one from them again. :thumbd:

Mmm, it seems that I\'ve to take a look to Plextor. Thanx.

LiteOn = cheaper Plextor. Either brand is good (enough).

Liteon all the way. Much cheaper and amazing performance.

Any special model? It seems new ones bring overburn...

I\'m using a liteon LTR-48246S burner (48x 24x 48) Great burner. Haven\'t had 1 single problem with it.

I\'ve had 2 Mitsumi drives, both top-notch. So as long they make em I\'ll buy em.
