They have gone 44 times with no one picking the numbers and they are still only at 66 million euros????
Is this a joke?

If the Florida lottery, or powerball went 44 times it would be in the billions.
-
I wouldn\'t mind €66 million.
-
I wouldn\'t either. BUt the funniest thing is even the Florida lotto only takes about 8-10 non winning draws to get to 66. 44? Man, that\'s a long time. That would be nearly 5 months with no winner. Dang.
-
Video have you thought that lottery is not the same everywhere?
-
Well, isn\'t bad (obvious, I\'d go for it...). But right, in Califorina, our last lotto is $91 million (which, looking at the exchange rate at 1.12735 [and still changing]...this would mean equal about €80,720,000 [give or take a few hundred]. €66 million would equal about 74,400,000 [again, give or take a few hundred]).
It didn\'t take 44 tries without a winner to get that high in California. Even if you factor in the population (Italy, 57 million. California, about 30 million). Of coarse, you can argue that Italians have better things to do then play the lotto so...;)
[edit]And good point Adan. I don\'t know what their lottery system is like to explain why it is only €66 million. Not to mention, the price of the ticket (or whatever they use) could be a factor too. Although I assume it is mostly the number of people actually playing it that is the reason.
-
So how is lottery done then adan? You pick 6 numbers and give them a buck. How is that different?
-
I guess the Italians don\'t gamble as much as Californians. :p

If they pay 1/2 buck or even less... the winner won\'t get the money you get there. Furthermore, italy is much smaller than USA, so the money can\'t be the same.
-
I\'m not comparing Italy to the USA.
I\'m comparing it to Florida. and Italy certainly has much more people than Florida.

Perhaps a single city in Florida has twice money than whole Italy :p

Apparently people from other countries are all crossing the border just to buy a lottery ticket in the hope that they can win it. Good luck to them, unless they are german of course.;)

Why a pic of him?

Coz I was quoting Turkish (from the movie Snatch).

Another possiblity is that the head lotto honchos over there are pocketing more than their fair share of the winnings. Hehe maybe even purposely choosing numbers no one ever picked. They may hit half a billion before any winner is found.
-
well it\'ll be another 4 years before the lotto hits half a billion the way it is going over there.
-
The difference between the Italian lottery and the California lottery:
The Italian Lottery is run by Don Corleone, using very "scientific" methods of calculating the jackpot. :)

We\'re not saying that those who provide an accomodation have any better odds of winning than anyone else, but let\'s just say that the Godfather knows how to return a favor. Ask anyone. :D
-
everyone knows the pope runs the lottery.
-
It\'s been won by one ticket!!!
