my Dell Inspiron 8500 keep on restarting by itself. This happens within 30 minutes of turning on the computer.
everytime this happens a message comes up:
"This system is shutting down. This shutdown was initiated by NT authority/systems.
Windows must now restart because Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly."
so what can I do to fix this? anyone? This is really annoying!!

sorry I found my answer in the other thread.

honestly people
that "update windows" icon is there for a reason

I\'m surprised to see so many people owned by this virus. I was untouched, as usual.
Do you guys open every attachment you get, run unknown executables, and have no firewall... etc etc? I have to have a high level of confidence in something before I run it.

it wasnt an attachment, and used a commonly used windows port
it could have used any normally open port like POP or SMTP, they just choose to use TFTP

i haven\'t been touched.. but i keep my windows up to date... :D
They should release a SP2 already, i\'ve got over 64 meg of patches after the sp1 is installed.
