Title: Urgent Computer Help needed...
Post by: (e) on August 15, 2003, 11:33:13 AM
Alright I have a new OS installed (windows 2000 advanced server). Now their are a few things I need help with: (this is in off-topic because I need help asap)

AntiViR the program i use for virus detection/scanning/protection wont work because I have a server OS and it is for private use. My question is their a way around this- or can you suggest a free and efficent virus program? I have Norton but it slows my comp the **** down so thats out of the question.

Next: sometimes when i open the program folder it doesnt display, other times it does. when it doesnt its just white. it does this alot, solution?

another thing: the add/remove programs thing doesnt seem to work- it is very strange. is their something i can do- or can i just delete the files (example; videogame #1238 has no uninstall that I can see, can i just select the main folder and delete it?).

Well thats pretty much it- im glad I tried and saw ME was a pain in the ass...

BTW: Im not a real computer pro- so keep it in easy terms.

Thanks in advance.

(oh one more thing, my scroll button doesnt work in explorer or anything- how do i activate it?)
