Aint I mature? :shy:
Here\'s the news.
The Chinese authority has decided that they will not continue to use Microsoft’s products Windows and Office. Chinas domestic program developer Kingsoft had in the end of the 1980ies and the beginning of the 1990ies 90% of the market, until Microsoft entered and took the whole market.
But this is now going to change.
By the end of the year Chinese authority will only buy domestic products when the time comes to upgrade.

Me kisses nearest Chinese person. :D
WOOT
:bounce:

that\'s quite costly seeing as the chinese population reaches over 1200000000

I think it only affects the Chinese authorities.. They wont be getting any more MS products, but the population is still free to choose.
The Swedish government is looking into doing the same thing. :)

I wonder if they will still use "rinux"?:D

Haha Kurt. ;)
If any of you have studied business or Microeconomics you\'ll know this is a BAD thing, generally speaking. Just because Kingsoft is a Chinese product doesn\'t make it superior, which in turn means they\'ll be using an inferior product only because it was made in their homestate. Sure it will boost the sales and jobs of one Chinese computer company but if the whole nation is runnning off of subpar computer operating systems then they\'ll be paying for it in the end.
No matter how much you hate "M$" all we know of Kingsoft is that major businesses and corporations don\'t rely on it to keep their systems running. Who knows how stable/efficient it is?

You naive little babies. Remember when the Chinese Government forced Microsoft to show them the source code to Windows? WHELL ISN\'T THIS CHANGE CONVENIENT! *HINT*

 Chinese Government STEAL.
Steal from a theif, not as bad as stealing from a honest company.
We\'ll let it pass. ;)
I think Sweden wanted to change to Linux.... but Microsoft proposed a new deal. I dont know what happened after that.
