Whenever I visit forums, regardless of which it is, I encounter problems. First of all, they scroll very slowly, and with a jerky movement. Secondly, there is a problem with typing. When I type, the sentence doesn\'t come out all at once. The curser moves along, without printing any words, then only when it reaches the end of the line, they appear.
This is beginning to get on my tits, is anyone else having this prob? Does anyone know what is causing it, furthermore, does anyone know how to fix it?

Check for virus\'s?
Whats your internet speed, that could be it.
Defragn\' mine solved it.

I\'ve defragged, run scan disk, run anti virus (nothing detected), deleted all cookies and removed all cached temporary internet files, but it\'s STILL f0cking happening.
It\'s the most annoying shit ever, someone must know why this is happening, and I\'m bolloxed if I know.
PS. Sorry for the language, but it really IS pissing me off.

CAN SOME HELP ME PLEASE?
I\'ve done everything Spud said, but it\'s still happening. If anything, it\'s getting worse. It\'s taking between 10 and 15 seconds for each line to appear after I\'ve finished typing it.
:rpissed: :banghead: :rpissed: :banghead: :crying: :cursin: :banghead: :banghead:

What you need to do is ALT / CONTROL / DELETE. And see what\'s taking up 99% of your cpu\'s time. This is on xp / 2000.
Then disable it. You may find it\'s a memory leak from a buggy program

THere is nothing running apart from ICQ. I close all backgroung progs after the comp is fully started up. I know it\'s not ICQ that\'s the problem because it does it when it\'s not running. It only happens on forums and certain search engines. Regardless of how slow/fast I type, the words only appear at the very end of the sentence, once it is complete. At the moment, it\'s averaging at one letter every three seconds, and it seems to be getting slower and slower. It\'s taken me the best part of 10 minutes to type this out

I got the patch, but it\'s still not fixed it, the exact same thing is still happening.

It sounds like a runaway process. What is your processor and or memory usage when this occurs? If it is high. What process is running high?

Have you checked for spyware?
If not I would recommend downloading Ad-aware 6.0 and Spybot seek & destroy 1.2. I run these everyday and they always find some tracking cookies or sometimes something even worse.

Ad-aware here!
http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/
Spybot here!
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download
These programs have regular updates, I always check for updates once a week.

My Advice: Quit posting!
:D

Ok, I\'ve downloaded them, but I don\'t know what I have to do, I did a scan and it found 33 objects, 22 of which were registry files. I know nothing about registry files, and am not sure about whether it\'s safe to remove them. I also need help with the spybot thing as well. I hope I can get this fixed because it\'s getting slower and slower, I typed it all in, then went for a glass of milk, I drank it, then came back, only to find out that it was still typing out what I had typed, a full 90 seconds later.
-
Those objects are more than likely slowing your system down if they are in the registry. Every time I find something after a scan I delete it without question. You shouldn\'t have to physically go into the registry, just tick the boxes after the search and click on the remove button. Ad-aware always creates a back-up file also just in case you may have any problems afterwards. I have never has any problems after deleting objects though.
Spybot should work in exactly the same way but may find objects that Ad-aware might miss.
Make sure you click on the check for updates option on both programs while you are online to make sure they are up to date.
-
I always assumed that deleting things from the registry would cause problems, I remember someone telling me that, not sure who it was though.
-
These are all the things it has found, is it safe to delete them?
I know it might seem like I\'m a dumb schitt, but I just want to make sure. It\'s better to be safe than sorry.
-
Delete them all, I had one of those CSS Hijack ones last week and it kept changing my homepage to something else. Just zap the buggers and reboot to see if you computer is any faster.
To delete them just click in the little box on the left of each entry to select them then click on the next/remove button at the bottom right.
-
SUCCESS!!!
Thank f0ck for that. That was really starting to piss me off.
Thanks for the help Kurt, much appreciated.

*takes a bow*
Now make sure you scan regularly, say once a week to keep those little buggers at bay!:D

Oh don\'t worry, I will be, I most certainly won\'t be going through all that again.
