Title: Oh my, I\'ve hit pay dirt with GT4!
Post by: ##RaCeR## on August 24, 2003, 04:40:15 PM: Tons of new HIGH QUALITY screens and heaps of new track details and car list.

Its all in Japanese, kinda hard to know what the hell its on about, but there are tons of Le Mans cars going to be in the game, as well as an Italian country side track and Hong Kong city track and Gold Coast track.

I saw them testing a Super 7 in one pic i saw a long while ago. I hope they put it in GT4. That would make my day :)

Damn you Polyphony Digital, this is the Fuji International Speedway. How do I know? because PSW have new footage of the circuit and that Italain circuit with that Lancia Delta on. But the car featured in the footage is a purple Nissan Skyline and it looks shit hot. :bounce:

But now it won\'t detect any plug and play devices and I can\'t even install it manually, plus the dummies at Avermedia support don\'t know how to fix the problem, so I\'m stuck in the shit creek.

Delete it from the Systems Device Manager then reinstall the drivers from the beginning.. That might work, fixed my soundcard once. :)

And when I try to install the Avermedia software it says \'Can not find device driver! please install device driver first.\' But I have followed the advice of the support line on how to install it and it just keeps saying that crap.

Have you tried "Add Hardware" ? It solved a problem once when my PC didnt want to detect some gaming port on my old soundcard.

One other thing... Its a PCI card right? Perhaps if you disconnect it from the board, boot up the PC so it knows its not there. Then turn it off reconnect the card boot the PC back up, perhaps it\'ll detect it again?

Or we could wait 3 weeks untill I can buy the mag and capture the video. :(

Its blurry, but you can just make out how beautiful the game looks. :D Though, please polyphony change that "skid" sound, its been there since GT1 and it does not sound realistic.

Wait until its finished before you start bitchin about things. I don\'t care if there are jaggies (as long as they are no worse than GT Concept, which was cleaned up a bit from GT3) because look at all the track side detail! The tracks are so much more detailed than in GT3 its very impressive.

BTW, is it just me or has anyone else noticed the lack of nightime races??? I don\'t think I have seen any night time race screens.

If you are really looking there is really only one screen on this page with maybe a decent bunch of jaggies, "maybe". You must be a real gaming prude to pass up such a good game for a couple jaggies you cant even notice if you arent looking.

Anyway, those new screens are gorgeous and those lupo shots are breathtaking. No JAGGIES and perfect non blurred textures. And even if it was a replay, the models are still the same just in different angles.

And Stanzo, how much did you sell your ps2 for? I mean c\'mon. Selling your ps2 for a couple hundred bux at best just to buy a new one in the end? I would have kept it anyway, but thats just me.

Well, yeah.. but it went towards the wifes car.. she needed some extra cash so she could pick up something a little
bit better than what she had her eyes on.. she likes it, so was worth it (earache is just not worth it.. believe me)..
Like i said, i was getting very bored with gaming in general and the stigma attached to gamers in the eyes of some people.

GT4 has made me feel refreshed, now she\'s gonna help me out with picking up another PS2..
