Gosh Darn It.
Ive been wanting to paint my room a nice warm red color ever since I got my drums (Mahogony).
So I broke down and got some. I put some plaster stuff in the holes, put painters tape on the edges and busted open the can of paint.
Its a nice red color, perfect for matching my drums- even though it was lighter than i expected.
So I take a brush and dab it in the pan.
Suddenly it slips and i drop the brush almost halfway in. I just toss it.
I get an edge thing and start doing the edges (btw its a textured paint: granite). I get started and what do you know, the thing slips off and goes launching right into the carpet. I just look at it.
The stain isnt that big, and i got most of it out.
Next, Im painting the top of my closet border and a huge glob comes flinging at me from nowhere, I just stick my shirt out and try to catch it, but miss... luckily a sheet was there, but my shirt is stained to hell.
Ill tell you if I survive.
Any one else have this much trouble painting?
-
I leave painting to a professional.
-
Pfft...
They would screw it up anyway..
BTW: First coat done. Looks niice!
Gonna go out for dinner and get a couple quarts of paint.
Maybe if a friend can borrow me a digi camera ill post a picture. of course ill be in it so you can photoshop the hell out of it- ill even make a contest ;D

Anyone who paints a room to match a set of drums, is a few wires short, if ya\' ask me.
:)

bahh, a room, i had to help my dad paint our bot, that 127 foot long, thats hard work, and dude, you shoud of put sheets down on the floor, and worn old crappy clothes..... if u got paint on your clothes, and was painting in nice new stuff, and you got pain on it,thats the universe saying " your a dumbass" no offence
-
i put down dropcloths on the entire floor, but still there are cracks for it to leak, and I wore the oldest raggiest clothes possible.

Not really to match, more like to vocalize the drums. When I have my room all set up etc. Ill try to post a picture, youll see what I mean.
BTW: second coat went on easy, I had to sleep in my brothers room cause it stank like hell. Crown Molding is going on later, and possible wood flooring.

Maybe you just suck at painting :p I get a bit on my shirt but i don\'t wear a good shirt when I paint.

If you can\'t paint a room, there\'s something seriously wrong with you.
No offense, guy...but I used to paint apartments for a living, and I
worked with some complete retards.

:)
Yeah really. It would have been much easier to paint the drums to match the room. :)

I think it\'s a cool idea. And paint the drums? That just wouldn\'t work.
-
Paint the drums?
Lmfao, now their is a dumbass Idea.
They are a vintage Tama Superstar set, in a custom mahogony color. They dont make them anymore- and its god damn expensive, and to paint it white would be the dumbest thing ever. Its not like you slap on paint on it, you have to almost recreate the drum.
I might be able to get pictures after I put in the crown molding. And youll want that color too. Its really warm.

Uhh, I did paint my room.

I had just recently painted my room. It\'s now this nice very light green color with lime borders. My mom even found a waste paper basket, lamp and drawers that match the colors perfectly. =P I\'m just waiting for a chance to get a desk before I start scraping off the paint that got on the windows.
And no...even a girl like me didn\'t have any problems painting. =D

And it\'s because she had a guy like me to help her. ;) Just kidding about that. I\'m proud of her. :D

Yeah...only because I was telling him what to do. :p And, BTW, thanks again for your help. :D
