I never have really found him funny but I decided to give his stand up a chance when I rented runtelldat....got bored about 20 minutes through. I found myself trying to force laughter from time to time just to try and convince my self my money was well spent. Martin, I respect you as an actor but please refrain from stand up, an act is actually supposed to have content....not a cuss word every 2 seconds. You may find it funny but we dont.
p.s.--No more funky or gay disguises in any more movies please.

I\'m glad I know someone else who doesn\'t like him.
I had a tolerance for his sitcom show but his standup act is flat out annoying.

I thought some parts were pretty funny, I liked the part about when he was teasing the chachaslide. :laughing:

He\'s one of those people I\'d love to see doused in Hydrochloric Acid. He has no obvious talent, he\'s just black and mouthy like a hundred other black comedians with attitude that think they can act and use the same old shit subjects for material time and time again.
He should burn, but not before being made to eat the original celluloid versions of all his films and that godawful f*cking tracksuit too.

As opposed to hundreds of women/jewish/spanish/asian/tough guy/creepy guy/hyper guy/smart guy/political comedians who do the exact same thing from their point of view?
I\'ll will however admit that the whole "black people do this and white people do that" brand of comedy is 9/10 done very poorly by 9/10 black comedians. Off the top of my head Dave Chappelle is probably the best.
Still, when it comes to Martin "runteldat" was trash. If you want good Martin stand up watch "You so crazy" or any episode of the first season of Def Comedy Jam. Martin is a funny muhphucka.

I agree with meenie, and although Im not racist the majority of black comedians out there tend to use really unoriginal stuff. Examples: the hood, hoes, gangsta related activity, drug related stuff, sex. And ofcourse, just to add in that little bit of extra wit why not throw in a f*ck, or sh*t every joke. Just watch BET and you\'ll understand. I hope this doesnt bring a lashing because I really dont intend to sound predijice. Now people like Robin Williams, Eddy Murphy, Dennis Miller, Jeorge Lopez, Bernie Mack, Ray Romano, Jerry Seinfield and Steve Martin are pretty fun to watch.

meh. I love comicview. That shit is hilarious almost every time. Im not going to "flame" anybody cause i know most of you arent racist but i see no point in arguing over opinions. I like a boatload of comedians. Most are probably black but Dennis Leary, Robin Williams (one of my favorites), John Leguizamo and a lot more are great. Its just that for me some white comedians are just flat out lame and use material thats not only old but not even funny to begin with. I dont mind intellectual comedy either. Some just push the limits sometimes. Ellen Degeneres is one comedian that can be sorta funny but for the most part sux. Same goes for most of Genene Garafalo and Jerry Seinfeld\'s material.(sometimes)
Oh well.
