Who will win? Sugar Shane or Oscar?
-
I dunno but I picked option 3.:D
-
Who the hell are they?
Oh yeah, option 3.
-
I put in option 3 coz I knew the mods would ruin my poll by doing exactly that. So I thought I\'d save them the aggravation. :)
-
I think Mosely will win after De La Hoya is jipped by some iffy judging.
-
Oscar got ripped again. The man landed a 100 more punches (according to CNN) and yet it was still an animous descision. Explain that one!
-
The sky sports commentators put oscar well ahead on points.
He was robbed!
-
I thought Oscar won too. But I think I know why the judges gave the dge to Shane. Oscar threw a lot of punches in the first 5 rounds. After that, he seemed to have gotten a bit winded and threw less to conserve energy. Shane began to land more frequently but still on spurts. Also, the body language of Oscar seemed to say he was more tired of the two. Plus getting rocked in the 9th and 11th didn\'t help him much either.
EDIT : Pernell Whitaker looked like he won when he fought Oscar but the decision went to Oscar.
EDIT : Here\'s the score card from last night\'s fight

I\'ve come to expect this from boxing to be honest. Yes, Oscar was the better man out there. Yes, he landed more punches. Yes, he should have won. But it\'s boxing, so who knows why these things actually happen. This sport really needs to be cleaned up.
-
I have a good idea why the judges gave it to Mosely......
$$$$$$$
Someone may hve slipped them a tidy back hander.
-
Were you all watching the same fight?
Every single person I\'ve talked to or seen talk about the fight scored or saw it as Mosley.
-
I watched the fight, and I thought it should have clearly gone to Oscar. Most of the sports analysts out there seem to agree. He did land more punches. The judges had Mosley winning all those later rounds, but I think a couple should go to Oscar.
-
People seem to reckon that the judges gave it to Mosely because he attacked more and was more agressive. Oscar backed off quite a bit was was very defensive towards the end.

Most? Kellerman and the other guy that watched the fight saw it as Mosley, were confused on what Oscar was whining about, and every other sports analyst I\'ve seen has said Mosley too.

Don\'t get me started on Kellerman...and there are many others that scored this fight to Oscar. Here\'s an example of someone who thought this was Oscar\'s fight by several rounds (http://msn.espn.go.com/boxing/news/2003/0913/1615442.html). I tend to agree a lot more with that view of the fight.

Looks like a lot of sports writers saw Mosely winning the fight as well.
• Twenty-eight sportswriters were at ringside. According to a Top Rank poll, 16 scored it for Mosley, eight for De La Hoya and four had it as a draw
