Bunch of losers.
Just so you know, our state no longer has punch ballots and if we have an election coming up we can handle it. Doh...

Lets see.... Florida\'s punch ballots screwed up a presidential election, and California\'s punch ballots were in the process of being retired when some GOP nutcases decided to railroad a recall election through the system. Federal 9th Circuit court delayed the recall election BEFORE the ballots could do any damage.
Which state sucks again? :)
I\'m sure the Republicans would be very happy if EVERY state in the nation switched to showing hands as a voting method. As for replacing antiquated voting machinery, naaahhh... we can\'t do that. It\'s much more important to hold this election as quickly as possible, before more skeletons come out of Arnold\'s closet. The Federal Court says "nope." :)

But man they produce great oranges!

First of all, the recall had over 900,000 signatures, I believe, and it is perfectly legal in CA to have such a recall. I think it\'s been around for quite a long time.

Hands might be a good idea. It would be very difficult for liberal goons to keep voters away from their polling stations that way.
We use those stupid punch machines in my city and we seem to be able to get that tiny little chad to pop off. It\'s sad that the ACLU believes minorities can\'t handle the indignity of using such an atiquated machine.[/b]

I for one think its a superb way of handling an election, I mean if your too stupid to punch a hole cleanly through a piece of paper… then your to stupid to count.
Brilliant.. it’s a IQ test and right to democracy in one ;)

Both states have great oranges. Yummy.
Mine are almost orange on my tree. How are your cacti coming along?

BTW, those new computer voting machines...didn\'t Florida have problems getting them to work the first them they used them during the Gubanatorial Democratic Primary Elections there? Imagine California, IF forced to use them in counties that still have the punch card ballots, the problems WE will have using the new machines.
BTW, the problem was FIRST noticed by a "Republican nut-case". Former Secretary of State, Bill Jones about the need to upgrade (and this was before Florida 2000). Between that time, and the amount of money leaving Sacramento (plenty I assume that could pay for the new machines), how come Davis didn\'t upgrade then?
BUT, these punch card ballots have been used for over 40 YEARS! The only time they became a problem was Florida 2000. And they happened to have elected DAVIS in the first place.
This ruling is so assine and OBVIOUSLY political, it is pathetic. Two Clinton appointees, one Carter. You don\'t suppose...nah.
