Title: The origin of your name
Post by: Titan on September 27, 2003, 09:48:32 AM
What was the origin of your name here?

For me I chose Titan for a couple reasons. I was gonna use Liquid Titanium for my original name but I thought that was too long. I then remembered about the Saturn moon that I took an interest in during the summer of 2001 (I was interested in astronomy and stuff and still am). So, I used the name Titan. There was another reason. Titan is in my sn (liquidtitanium19) and noticed that too. But thats the origin of my name.

When I first joined I noticed a guy named Frodo. And since I was a fan of Tolkien I thought I should name myself Samwise. Don\'t know why exactly I choose Samwise... Actually now I\'d rather have been, say, Gandalf, but perhaps that was taken. :D

I have absolutely no imagination at all, so I couldn\'t think of a name to use.  So I decided to not really use a "name".  So the first site I used it on, I was just underdashes, but some sites dont allow underdashes to be the first letter, so i included some hyphens :D

I chose my name because I\'ve got 3 heads, and it was also less gay than Jaye Bennington.

I remember when you were Jaye Bennington. Yes, it was gay :p . I also have the name on some other sites Red Fox. That came from probably the Disney Robin Hood. I loved that movie as a kid and liked the Foxes. That and foxes are noble, sneaky, powerful. But Titan is a better online name.

I had originally tried to register zerohaste because I\'ve been using it on AIM for years but it was taken.  I\'m pretty sure I registered it a long time ago.  I no longer had the same email (couldn\'t even remember what email I used to register it) and couldn\'t remember my password for the life of me so I just asked a friend on AIM what name I should use and he told me nataku "because it sounds cool".

/me shrugs

Would have liked zerohaste.  It fit me well.  I was one lazy bastard back then.

Mine came from the short story "the monkey\'s paw".  It was always one of my favorite stories, and I believe in the message follows with it.  Be careful of what you wish for.
