Title: Looking for a good wallpaper site...
Post by: FatalXception on September 28, 2003, 08:28:36 PM: Ok. I spent a little while searching, but almost every site either had un-useable photos, big "credits" on their pics, a billion "vote for us" things, or just poor selections for their wallpapers.

Does anybody know of a good wallpaper site, which has a wide variety of themes (cars, celebs, games, 3D, etc.), in free, high resolution (1280x1024 or 1600x1200) varieties?

I would be most appreciative, to the tune of 1 Billion FX bucks (that\'s .1 CDN cents).

http://www.swrt.com The Subaru World Rally Team always posts MEGA high res images of Subaru participants from the WRC events. They\'re so huge, you\'ll probably have to scale them down to fit your desktop. Click "gallery." Preview in low-res, then download in High-res.

http://www.us.porsche.com Porsche posts a big selection of very large images (up to 1600 x 1200) on their website. You can also go to the German Porsche site to find some wallpapers (Hintergrundbilder) of classic Porsches and high res images from motorsports.

Still only missing the celebs and (some) cars. Some of the car sites were nice, but not too general.

I\'ve got lots of mag scans for models and stuff... I\'m really looking completely away from any sort of porn here... I\'m not 17 anymore :p

Another good one is e-wallpapers (http://www.e-wallpapers.de/) - good collection of stuff (cars, babes, planes, nature, games), although not ALL high res.
