Title: Tweaking questions...
Post by: (e) on September 28, 2003, 08:28:43 PM
I have a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 (64mb) running on my computer, and it is much better than my old video card. But the question is- how can I get maximum preformance out of it?

I play Counter-strike (Alot), and I get about 20-40 fps, on a decently active game. But I wish it was constant instead of jumping like a mad man. How can I stop this?

AND:

Is their any commands, tweaking guides, little programs that can bring out its full (yet small) capacity?

If you need specs for my comp for whatever reason, I can post them.

Thanks - because I know shit about computers (the advanced stuff)

make sure everything is updated. But remember, with graphic drivers, the latest isn\'t always the best. You\'ll have to play around to find which is for you..
Also, don\'t bother overclocking a MX card.  Overclocking gfx cards in general isn\'t really worth it.  There are Tweak programs around that you could play around with...

^^^ not for a GF2MX, but a general gamer system tweak article.  I haven\'t read it myself, though, so I don\'t know how good it is.
