The funny thing about this name is that one british supermarket decided the name was putting off customers, so they changed it\'s name to Spotted Richard. After a few weeks they changed it back again though.

I wonder what I will have for dinner tomorrow, maybe fagg0t and chips for main course and a nice portion of spotted dick for desert ;)

No it\'s not, you\'re just not eating the right food, you must have fallen for all that "local delicacy" stuff, we only do that to catch you lot out, it\'s all mostly offal and dodgy sea food anyway.

"Chopped and seasoned sheeps liver and/or kidney" - WTF? Why do you eat anything from a sheep? That\'s what I don\'t understand.

"chips & sausage" - Fat, and more fat. Nice combination!

"meat & potato pie" - Why do you have to put meat in everything? I\'m also suspicious that you call it "meat" instead of beef or venison or whatever. Kind of puts an frightening unknown variable in there if you know what I mean.

"English fry up" - I actually know what this is, and I had it once at a friend\'s house in London. It was so loaded with fat and cholesterol, I thought my heart was going to burst before I could step 10 paces from the table.

Do you people know what heart disease is? :laughing:

just to set the record straight, the "meat" that is in our meat & potato pies is lamb, fresh, disease free and healthy lamb. It\'s only called meat & potato, because that is how it has always been known, we don\'t need to call them lamb & potato pies to know it.

When they rushed her into the hospital, they ran checks on her to try to find out what it was. At first, they were stumped, then when they had done virtually all the tests they coud, the doc asked her if she had been on atkins diet, she told them that she had been on it for about 4 days......

They said that was almost surely the cause of it, they said that they had seen a dramatic increase of people coming in with kidney infections.

The problem with the diet, is that most people are going onto it, without first consulting a GP.

Dunno.

Kidneys play a part in the bodys removal of urine, so I guess it has something to do with that, possibly in some people, the atkins diet causes a build up of toxins withing the urine, more than the kidneys can handle, thus leading to an infection.
