OK, ooseven.  Explain this one...
I bet this was governmentally funded too.  :)

In a pickle over perfect sandwiches

RESEARCHERS have come up with a formula for the perfect sandwiches.

The classic cheese and pickle sandwich, eaten in front of the television, has been shown to constitute the ideal sandwich, according to research carried out for British Bread Month.

A nationwide survey quizzed respondents on the ingredients and conditions of the perfect sandwich they made at home and came up with the following equation:

ps = 0.225b + 0.134c + 0.127s + 0.196f + 0.136p +0.181e

The final equation identifies the optimum thickness and type of bread (b), type and thickness of cheese (c), type and thickness of spread (s), additional filling (f), method of presentation (p), and where it should be eaten (e).

The perfect sandwich is made using strong or mature Cheddar on medium, pre-sliced round-top white bread with a thin spread of vegetable margarine, cut diagonally and eaten at home for lunch in front of the television.

It\'s nice to see scientists spending their funding on something so useful.

Yeah... me thinks the "head of the sandwiches research team" has compromising pictures of the "head of research & funding ..of the University."

FFS… I am going research on the electrodeposition of new coatings to current various chromium based ones and the funding I get…. Diddly Squat  :( :rpissed:

Stop wasting valuable research time, ooseven... and go pour me the perfect pint...

You expect him to do that without researching it?

*note to 007\'s superiors*

For the love of god, where the hell is his funding, goddammit???

Whats the f.cking point in this reasearch???Since when did we have the need of a perfect sandwich?Since when did we care? What problem does it solve?Nothing.
Where is Bossieman? He should teach them a lesson

Bossieman is mostly interested in physics. How is he going to teach them how to cure cancer?

Yeah, but Bossieman certainly knows that this formula is off.

ps = 0.225b + 0.134c + 0.127s + 0.196f + 0.136p +0.181e

Way too much e..  I never put more than .154e on my ps

He belongs to the science community, doesnt he?He\'s got a broader opinion about things and how scientists approach things......I believe :p

I think we\'re missing the most important part of this, Pickle and Cheese sandwich????

I nominate the BLT. With a nice cold can of Budweiser. Don\'t ask why,
but I actually love Bud when eating bacon...

Cold roast beef with cold roast potato in a bread with salt. IMHO the tastiest, probably not the most healthy.

If Budweiser ever crossed my lips, I would be tasting the bacon twice... on the way down AND on the way up.

I seriously don\'t understand why anyone drinks that goat urine.

Yeah, bud certainly isn\'t the taster\'s choice, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Hah.  There used to be a time when I would be stuck at some barbecue or pool party, invited through a friend of a friend, and the only beer would in the cooler would be Bud or Coors or Michelob, and I would actually drink it.  Not any more.  I\'d rather pretend I\'m a recovering alcoholic that swallow that shit.

Did you know Budweiser has rice in it?  Yeah, RICE.  That\'s about as un-reinheitsgebot as you can get.

LOL, thats a nice formula.
IMO it doesnt describe anything.
I can do a mathematical expression for best game ever or anythig else.
They created a model that is bull.
Think of this things:

1. Does the equation describe both Americans and European taste or any other region? What region does it describe? A sertant town, area, country or what?

2. What comes out of the equation? A number? What does that number say?

3. It looks more reasonable for me to think that the equation maximum the profit of selling sandwitches, why would they create the formula if not for profit?

4. Is this a joke? Can I find this formula in the new edition of physics handbook in 2004?

5. I want my 5 minutes of life back.

Over and out.
